Blitz is a self-taught Betweener Spawn who is adept in reading and science. He does love to learn, and frequently visits libraries or museums to expand his knowledge, though he did not go to school, and has no certification.

Blitz was one of three products produced by Dr. Watt, a scientist from the New World genetically engineering Betweeners to breed to make stronger creatures.

Blitz was cast out by his mother because he did not look like her in the least, sending him alone through the gate to the Colossal world, where he was raised in the woods by 'nana'. As Blitz grew older, he heard stories that may mean that his nana was a Celestial Betweener; something only ever heard of.

He met back up with his brother during a revolt at the Colossal/Carnal gate. He was not part of it, though was mistaken as, and his own brother attacked him for this. Due to pent aggression and betrayal, during the attack, Blitz accidentally took Blink's eye. The two get along presently.
