Althea Draco
Main character; heir to the Saverian throne.
Princess Althea
Daughter of Dragons
Female
19-ish
Muscular but not overly so. Strong and sturdy skin with a strong immune system. A carnivore.
Pale white from living in cold climate, becomes slightly tan on her journey.
Saverian; from Saveron. Half Dragon.
Crystal-like blue (as in they literally reflect light like a crystal).
None
Naturally straight and a bit unkempt as the story progresses. It's usually in a ponytail, and flows all the way down to her lower back.
Snow white
5’7"
180-200 lbs.
She has black dragon scales on several parts of her body (neck, bottom of her feet, forearms, upper back, and sides). They're immune to physical attacks but incredibly weak to magic.
She has excellent sword fighting skills, specifically dueling one on one. She’s also skilled in climbing and hunting. This is due to her natural strength from birth and the training she's gotten from her mother.
She is certain after her experience that all demons are evil, though gradually changes her opinion as the story progresses. She’s wary of magic users, but not nearly as aggressive than with demons. She doesn't have any respect for criminals unless they aren't criminals anymore.
She tends to do things without telling anyone, and even when she does tell someone, she’s probably in the middle of doing it. Also, her blunt honesty can lead to tension or discomfort, as well as make her come across as naive. She's intimidating for anyone unfamiliar with Saverians, especially with her capability with her sword. She is awful at small talk or making friends due to her isolated royal lifestyle.
She likes to explore and discover things, whether they be small or large, and finding out new information. In her spare time, she usually hunts, naps, daydreams, or trains, depending on her mood.
She is stubborn, bluntly honest, and antisocial. She is definitely introverted, but doesn't struggle under high pressure with her high confidence. She's overall difficult to talk to small talk wise, but is loyal to a fault and surprisingly kind after getting to know someone.
After the event that took her family, she became numb, overly aggressive, and self destructive, but slowly recovered overtime.
Each royal family she met and location she visited had something new to learn from, and learn from she did. By the end, she was more flexible, wiser, smarter, open to new friendships, and had a new form of confidence.
Her entire family was turned into evil demons and her kingdom was conquered in mere hours. She must stop the demon responsible for this before the other kingdoms meet the same fate and if not stop them, then warn them.
She tends to have her hand on her sword's hilt any time she feels unsure or scared, either completely gripping it in a defensive stance or straight up drawing it when more forwardly threatened. She pets Cat when she's upset or thinking about something. She doesn't change her expression much from a straight face, her eyebrows the only indication of her mood. All of her actions are done with confidence and meaning. She rarely speaks as she prefers letting her actions speak for her.
She's been homeschooled by her father in royal duties, and her mother has given her intensive combat training. She's multilingual, smart in terms of business and anything someone would need to know to run a nation, but doesn't have much experience with socializing.
N/A
She was the first-born of her several siblings, making her the heir to the throne. She has been trained by her mother in combat while her father and maids raised her otherwise. Lots of her behavior is picked up from her mother.
Her cat, Cat (she was a simple child)
She wears a thick, white, hooded cape over her long-sleeved white shirt and a layer of fur coat. She wears baggy brown pants and black winter boots.
She has a good relationship with her parents and siblings. Her father taught her formality, intelligence, and ways of royalty, while her mother taught her combat, wisdom, and stories of her experiences outside the kingdom.
Her royal sword; her final gift from her mother.
None
She believes that strength comes in many forms, and that for anyone to have power, they must earn it. This is linked with the Saverian belief of "Power must be earned, not given" which she strongly enforces. She doesn't believe that taking on bigger responsability should prohibit irresponsability, and that actions always speak louder than words.
