When she was a child Zaura (then known as Sarah) was adopted by Ujotts Rhia. He raised her until she was 12 then, during the events of the Pleon uprising, Sarah and her classmate were taken hostage by the terrorists. Ujotts learned of this and slaughtered the terrorists killing one of her friends in the crossfire. Sarah was horrified by this but she tried her very best to forgive Ujotts and not tremble with fear when she saw him. Several weeks later Sarah runs away from home. She gets onto a cargo shuttle set to Utopia. On the way she is given a gorgeous view of the planet Zaura that which she takes on her new name. Zaura. She meets Michael Somatose on the cargo ship who is already on his way to Flora, Zaura acompanies him.

Zaura has had a crush on Angelica since she met her.
