Their cap is almost house shaped, peaking at the top, with shaggy outgrowths at the front, and some droplet shaped growths around the entire circumference of the cap.
The rest of them consists of a thick stem, and most of the time, the pot they use to remain mobile without expending energy.

The upper part of their cap is vanilla off-white, whilst the lower half is an inky black. Their stalk and roots remain the same color as the upper half of the cap.

Really all this mushroom knows is be nasty and do whatever it takes to get back Entoloma H. They're willing to do anything and aren't unwilling to be a bitch.

The vast majority of Comatus' life was spent in the confines of a glass test capsule within some sort of lab. They state that they first came into sentience at some unknown point in time, and for an even longer, unknown duration, was trapped inside the tube with no method of escape.

Eventually, tired of the confinement, they managed to jam the rotating part of their capsule open and force their way out. For a brief moment they considered releasing the others, but given the alarm, only had the chance to choose one other of their kin to release.
Their sensory lobes sensed another capsule that had been partially damaged, and they released the specimen inside.
Taking note of the engraving on iron of the capsule, Comatus noted their kin was named "Entoloma hochstetteri", and they themself were named "Comatus coprinus".

With names at the back of their mind, Etoloma and Comatus were able to make their escape through the facility by taking the hollowed out remains of a caretaking machine and piloting them to a nearby shuttle, which they then stole and left with.

Comatus comes into play in a case where Etoloma has been stolen from them for several years past their escape (by the same facility that held them both). He wishes to discover whose jurisdiction the mysterious place is under, so that COUNSEL might... "convince" them to release all of Comatus and Etoloma's kin that are currently trapped within.
