Elysian has little memory of her early years, knowing only what she was told; that she, and many others of her kind, were locked away until The Collapse happened. More than just natural disasters, the Collapse also undid so many magical barriers and other things that had stood since the dawn of time and unleashed much into the world.

Elysian was found by The Order of the Blue Rose when they went exploring a place that their instruments indicated had a high level of magical activity. She and two others were the only survivors, the hundreds of others dead in their coffins from gods only knew what.

Outside, Elysian became the only survivor as the other two succumbed to a strange illness after being removed from the place they were entombed. Why she is the only survivor she doesn't know, but the Order took her in and she's been more than happy to repay that by working for them in whatever capacity is needed at any given point in time.
