Born and raised in Helmfirth, Poppy has known nothing but the frozen smithing town and doesn't want to know more than that. She's content with her life being one of the few town guards that help keep the place safe - not that they're needed, really, as many of the smiths train with their weapons to have a better understanding of them or otherwise have some way to defend themselves and help defend the town in case things go bad.

But still life could be worse than walking the town to make sure the needs of its people are met and Poppy finds no greater happiness than helping make sure everyone else in town is safe and happy too.
