Philosophy
- Terrormaster believes in Phoboism, a philosophy and later ideology created by the Paralyzer in the midst of one of his "revelations".
This philosophy states that the actions of every living being can all be traced back to a single, primal emotion that so many attempt to bury.
Fear.
The proponents of this belief system believe that any decision that can be made by a living being is one ultimately motivated by fear. For instance, Phoboists would claim that when a person picks between an apple and a banana, that the outcome of this decision is based on whether they fear the cyanide-laced seed of the apple, or the potassium-40 emitted by a banana.
Another example that Phoboists often cite is when a person hinges on absolute morality. They claim that whenever a person does this, that they're trying to stave off their subconscious fears. That being the overwhelming realization that they too aren't perfect moral beings, thus leading to them doubling down.
In Terrormaster's case, he has come to believe this through experience rather than the Paralyzer's speeches.
Time and time again, he has seen his fellow Mechs crumble in the face of despair, revealing their true, hideous self in spite of their sanctimonious performance.
This can also be attributed to the pleasure that Terrormaster receives when tormenting one of his victims to relent for their dishonesty, as they collapse in on themselves and die inside.
