• Ophidius is around 17 feet tall, making him slightly taller than most other Mecharus.
  This height difference nets Ophidius a minor advantage when faced up against opponents smaller than himself and a major advantage when faced against enemies significantly larger than himself.

• Throughout his existence, Ophidius' goals all stemmed from a single desire. To find someone that matched his ferocity and drive in combat. Someone who shared the same propensity for battle as him. It did not matter if they held different beliefs, for they did not matter in the clash of metal and brimstone.

• Ophidius is motivated by the hunt.
  He lives for the thrill of hunting down a worthy opponent and engaging them on one-on-one combat in the Arena, battlegrounds, and any other place he may encounter opposition who he deems worthy to fight.
  Ophidius does not care about money, or most other incentives that others would kill to recieve
  Ophidius simply sees the thrill of the hunt and the experience of taking down a worth adversary as payment enough.

Ophidius was created on February 26, 2048 by PentaCorp's Administrative Division as well as its Science Division.
He was created as a part of the SERPENTUM MECHANUM program.
The name of the project would translate to MACHINE SNAKE in Neo-Latin.
The goal of this program was to create a line of deadly robotic warriors in the image of Earth's snakes, integrating their versatility, their agility, and their lethality.
Ophidius was one of the Mecharus produced by the program.
As per the requests of both the Science Division and PentaCorp themselves, Ophidius was modified with abnormal traits infused within his MGA (Mechanical Genetic Algorithm).
These traits would include heightened aggression, artificially generated Cybertoxin delivered via claws and fangs, and most notably CMGA (Cross Mechanical Genetic Algorithm) from various deadly reptilian predators.
The source of these genomes would be unclear, but most believe that the corporation Acteon Genetic Solutions had provided the genomes of several of their very own genetically modified reptiles to PentaCorp on the basis that PentaCorp would provide them with currently unknown technology.
Regardless of what this technology would end up becoming, this would provide Ophidius with a major advantage compared to his 'siblings', as soon after his creation Ophidius would begin to display traits associated with Acteon Genetic Solutions' reptiles.
While most of these traits were incredibly abnormal for a robot like himself to possess, one trait would pique the interest of the Science Division.
This condition would later be identified as Selective Transfigurative Mutation (STM).
This condition would be characterized by large sections of the body becoming either partially or fully organic.
STM would manifest itself in Ophidius by causing quill growth on his body, his outer metal becoming flesh, his venom becoming a mix of biological proteins and advanced artificial chemicals, and finally his body mutating to become taller and lankier when compared to others of the same model as him.
These traits would help Ophidius in his role as a close ranged warrior, with his Biotechnological makeup throwing off the auto-aim present in many of his enemies, and his venom-laced fangs and claws would prove extremely effective in killing man and machine alike.
However, there were complications associated with these traits, as during his Cyber-Larvae stage Ophidius was highly aggressive, needing constant sedatives in order to pacify his wishes for violence. As such, many lower ranked servants to both the Administrative Division and the Science Division would suffer heavy injuries, which would sometimes prove fatal.
All in all, Ophidius' upbringing proved a tumultuous one, both for himself and his caretakers.

Once he was of sufficient age, Ophidius would be released into Mecharus society on February 30, 2050.
Not long after this, Ophidius would gleefully enlist as a soldier in PentaCorp's Militaristic Peace Division, leading to him taking part in the Battle of the Feathered Serpent under the command of Knife Lord.
