Born and raised in Brightwitch, Lily's parents told her tales of the great adventurers of old. She would ask time and again to hear the stories, and she took inspiration from them. She said that one day she would grow up and be a great adventurer, the kind people would tell their kids about someday.

Unfortunately such a road was not one Lily was destined to walk. She adventured for a time before a serious injury meant that she couldn't go out into the field anymore. While she eventually recovered and was cleared for field duty by The Adventurer's Guild at the time, she felt that fighting monsters would just shorten her own lifespan and wouldn't lead her to what she wanted.

Opportunity came elsewhere; Lily was always smart, and a hybrid of going out into the field to collect samples for research and doing research seemed to fit her just fine. While she did have some training as an Astrologian it was never her main area of study, and after The Collapse the chance to help the Astrologian's Guild guild grow seemed the perfect fit. It wasn't as glamorous as adventuring, but through her work some day the stories of what she uncovered would serve as inspiration for the next generations.
