Ambition was born in Brightwitch well before The Collapse. The Adventurer's Guild existed before then, of course, but it didn't have much power and existed almost exclusively in Brightwitch. Still Ambition wanted to be part of it, so she started working there as a teen.

Then when she was almost 30 the Collapse happened and she watched all the years of work she had put in, all the people she loved, destroyed in a matter of days. There was plenty of despair, but Ambition wasn't going to let that bring her down. As the Guild looked to rebuild not just itself but the city and take over in the wake of the nobility disappearing Ambition was the first to jump in and spearhead efforts. She was great at planning, at keeping people organized, at learning legalities and filing paperwork.

When the Guild was finally up and running Ambition was nominated to be head of the entire thing but that wasn't a responsibility she wanted. She accepted head of the local branch in Brightwitch instead, and has served that function since.
