Charlotte Gray kissed Theodore Cass for the first time one sunny afternoon. Theodore was being followed by a group of girls who really wanted his money. Charlotte wanted to help him out of this embarrassing situation and may have also been a little jealous that other girls wanted his attention. After flirtatiously calling him a nickname, she pulled herself up by his shoulders and kissed him until the girls went away. After that, he accused her of being a gold digger and then she remarked that his habit of smoking cigars makes his mouth disgusting to kiss.
