Before coming to Las Aminour, Simon Ulcrates was the son of Teff Ulcrates, a retired horse soldier. He meet Akyan Tirichan, and, when his father dies, sends Akyan away so that he doesn’t have to see the pain of him seeing his life go to waste. He sells the ranch, and travels to Las Aminour, where he helps Aaron Firehand take down Pepperchini Fortnite. When the elections come around, he enters but does not win. When he doesn't win the election, Simon becomes a vigilante known as the 8-Bit Archer. Adventuring the known lands of Aquas, Richel, and his home of Las Aminour; fighting the dangerous crew of Aggro’gosh, the Orcish Owlrider. However, he was soon trapped in a jail that no matter could pass through and moved to the warehouse room in the Blushing Wyrm. When Aggro'gosh was killed by the Fai Shemov, Simon was freed, and escaped shortly after the party found Aaron's familiar tressym. He's since made his way to returning to Las Aminour, and will soon make it there in a few days.
When he arrives to Las Aminour, he finds it ruined after the events of the Battle of Las Aminour. People direct him to the new capitol of Ariororon, where people have gathered due to the new elections. When he arrives, Arón Firehand is claiming his presidency and attempting to establish peaceful connections with Citadel of Stone. Karcon Bronzeheart reveals that he doesn't want anything to do with Las Aminour, but Tonberri the Akki reveals that he was just elected president. Simon tries to intervene, but Aron and Tonberri exile him from their respective countries.
Later, Simon talks to the Mad God, who tells him to go to the Conclave of Collective Kingsmen and speak to Dalabrac the Dying to rejoin the Conclave as a legacy member. He returns and takes the pendant Dalabrac gave him to the yoriki who take him to the president. The president has him interrogated by the samurai, which yields nothing useful to him.
