"Intellect suppression, aka »dumbification«, is basically a power to lower the people's IQ. In her current year, she is able to use this ability both on a specific person and in the area. "Using this power on specific person/people is quite harder and Ditz has gone through a lot, and I mean a LOT of failed attempts to do so until the 7th year, when she finally started to succeed a little by little, though she still needs a lot of concentration for this kind of trick, much more than she needs to keep her ability under control." - kvatya

"Her power has one interesting weakness - tin foil hats. Though, actually, anything metal that is fully covering the top of the head will block this intellect suppression. In fact discovering this weakness was one factor that allowed Jude to take classes with other students, even though they had to wear those tin foil hats to lessons with her. And no, if Ditz will wear such hat it won’t block her ability, unless she is fully wrapped in tin foil like grilled chicken." - kvatya
