"she can find anything: place, a person, an object. But of course to use this power she needs to go through something similar to a little ritual.
After figuring out what or who she needs to find, Lacey needs to focus on it while holding an item that will be used as her guiding tool. Technically, it can be an item of any size and form, but Lacey figured out that small and round-ish objects like marbles, rings, rubber balls, etc. are most comfortable to work with. One of her other personal favorites is the thread, preferably red to stand out in the environment. After forming a »request« to find a desirable object, Lacey then needs to place her guiding tool on the ground and it will retrace the path that the object traveled prior to being lost. When searching for a location, however, the guiding tool’s path can get a little quirky and it will try to move the shortest way leading to the location, no matter, if it’s actually possible to go there or not (kinda like when the GPS shows than you need to drive through a way were road works are taking place). When finished, lacey will need to say "home", and then her tool will return to her." - kvatya

"- Her power doesn't work on vague concepts. For example, she can't find your "one true love", and even if she will try to, her guiding object will just lead to someone who the requester sees as one, even if just subconsciously.
- When using her power it's physically very hard (though, not impossible) for Lacey to focus on anything besides her guiding tool. [...] And yes, she has bumped into the closed doors quite often as well, especially when using the thread as a guiding tool.
- If she uses her power for too long without taking a break (aka deactivating her tool by saying "home"), it can take a toll on her physical state. Overuse of ability can cause dizziness, headaches, nosebleeds, and, eventually, passing out, after which the tool is deactivated automatically but does not return to Lacey.
- After using her ability Lacey always feels tired and sleepy, although the severity of it depends on how long and often she used her power, and the amount of rest she had.
- Activated guiding tool doesn't change its properties. For example, a glass marble can be broken and the thread torn, and a ring won't be able to pass through a closed door if there is no big enough opening. However, if there are still remains of the tool, they will try to continue the search." - kvatya
