Like many, Nyx was born to [[Group-28035]] in Mesea as her parents worked an apothecary shop in town. They visited her frequently growing up, and she knew what they did for a living and took interest in it at the guild hall, eventually training to be an [[Job-3949]] herself.

Her dreams came to an end when her parents stopped visiting. Stuck in the school and unable to leave without an escort that they refused to give her unless it was an emergency for the sake of 'not interrupting her education', Nyx sank deeper into depression with each day that passed where she didn't see or hear from her parents.

Eventually she learned that the guild had killed them. They were growing quite successful, and a rival shop had set it up to look like they were keeping inaccurate records for several years to get them arrested. Unable to provide accurate records to clear their name they sat in jail and were eventually executed and no one told Nyx.

Disillusioned with the guilds after that point Nyx finished her education and then left the guild. She had heard of people living outside the system and thought to track them down. Eventually she made her way to the village in the Cuim Woods, using her skills to help grow what she could and make basic healing potions to help out as much as she could. She's lived there ever since, looking after the people and trying to forget what the guild did to her and her family.
