Astrid, like so many before her, was born and raised in the town of Orin. Guildhall to [[Group-28131]], she grew up under a trainer and eventually became a [[Job-4167]] - one of few to attain the honor. She proved quickly that her smaller frame and physical dexterity were perfect for the job, and the toll it took on her body didn't seem to be a toll at all but rather seemed to make her stronger.

For over a hundred years Astrid served as a Monk for the Noctis Swords, but soon enough she grew weary of fighting. The scars her body bore were too much, never being able to find love or settle down. She retired and became a Trainer, one who looks after the generations under her. She oversees their welfare in groups of 3-4 from the time they are 6 and assigned to the guild until they are 18 and ready to graduate, and acts as the parental figure to them. She does her best for those kids, making sure they are looked after both mentally and physically.
