Personality

Calculating, and secretive, Eighth is an imitating Corviknight one will come across. They like the idea of being omniscient and often detach themselves from group gatherings. They are extremely alert and insightful, often ahead of the Outlaws and even Jaunt xemself. However, it's easy to push Eighth's button, and they will not hesitate to snap at you. Eighth tends to make sarcastic remarks in almost every situation. They get impatient with pretty much everyone, and they have extreme standards for guarding as a result of their childhood. As mentioned above, Eighth will follow their own schedule and don't usually follow orders unless a compromise is reached or the order follows their interests. Eighth is wary of others and doesn't like putting their trust unless it's a friend of theirs. They're also rather arrogant and prideful, and take great care to keep their feathers clean.

Even close friends will admit Eighth is a bit of a tough cookie to handle. They're also quite the trouble when it comes to keeping themselves clean. It's not a bad thing, but Eighth does everything to make sure their glimmering feathers are spotless. Couldn't they just let one feather go dirty?

Relationships

Outlaws (Neutral) - Eighth isn't too thrilled to be staying with the Outlaws for a bit. However, they do desperately need the resources. Eighth doesn't speak much to most of the members, although they have a slightly better bond with Artemis and Jaunt.

Parents (Negative) - Eighth was always proud to being part of a family that explored dangerous dungeons. They looked up to their parents and even labeled them as their "heroes." Sadly, Eighth stopped looking up to their parents once they realized their parents didn't approve of Eighth.

Fourth (Positive) - Eighth was Fourth's favorite sibling. They would often hang together. Fourth would sometimes tell Eighth epic poetries about explorers who braved the dungeons. When Fourth became ill with a mysterious sickness, Eighth set off to find a cure.

Rufous (Positive) - When Eighth was younger, they sometimes interacted with Rufous. Since Rufous was a family friend, Eighth often saw aer during parties, weddings, etc. Sometimes, Eighth went to Rufous to consult aer of any questions they had. When Eighth set off to find a cure, Rufous helped Eighth prepare and even offered to come with them but Eighth rejected aer's offer.

Allegro (Negative) - Eighth gets annoyed with Allegro, describing him as "smug" and "annoying." Despite this, Allegro enjoys annoying Eighth just to get a reaction out of this. If you ask Eighth, they're not too pleased with this attitude.

Vigil (Neutral positive) - With their snarky natures, Eighth and Vigil often find the other agreeing among themselves. At least both of them know they're the last two on the Grass Continent with a functioning brain cell.

Artemis (Neutral) - There's no like or dislike between Artemis and Eighth. They just do their thing and Artemis seems okay with that.

Jaunt (Neutral) - Similar to Allegro, Eighth doesn't like doing what Jaunt tells them to. However, Eighth's a bit less stubborn when it comes to orders with Jaunt, as Eighth knows Jaunt is trustworthy. Jaunt's also one of the only Pokémon who is aware of Eighth's current situation.

Background - What is Eighth’s background?

Eighth lived their entire life on Harbor Island. They were part of a family who had taken the role of explorers of mystery dungeons (their family is quite large, consisting of eight children! Eighth is, well, the eighth child). Eighth was eager to help but was often rejected to join them due to them being too young. It was a bit strange for their parents to refuse to let them tag along since rookies would usually start their training around Eighth's age. Perhaps it was that Eighth was lagging in their schoolwork. Maybe their parents simply forgot about them. Whatever it was, Eighth didn't get to become an explorer.

They were overjoyed when their parents agreed to let them join their family on a mission. However, Eighth kept stumbling into enemies and going in the wrong direction. Their parents worried Eighth wouldn't be as a good explorer as they hoped they would be. Eighth didn't get another chance to join them on missions. This upset the young Eighth but they never got the answers they were looking for.

Eighth's favorite sibling was Fourth, as Fourth enjoyed teasing and goofing off with Eighth. However, the two were close and Fourth often told Eighth about epic poetry of brave explorers who fought monsters. When Fourth fell ill with a mysterious disease, Eighth was only a young Corvisquire. Nothing could heal Fourth. The medics could only feed Fourth berries to lessen the effects. Determined, Eighth set off to find a cure for their older brother. First, they met up with Rufus, a family friend, to set up for the long journey. Then their adventure kicked off and Eighth was gone from their cozy Harbor Island.

Eighth set off to seek the mighty Zarude, a legendary rumored to be capable of healing abilities no one else was able to do. However, the task proved more difficult and Eighth ended up having to converse with a strange Zoroark to let them in their so-called "Outlaws." Eighth agreed to serve as their head guard, but only on the condition Eighth could receive their resources and leave whenever they needed to. As of right now, Eighth is staying with the Outlaws.
