Magician
Ida is a punctual, straight-A student with a bold attitude. If she wants something, she will get it. She will play fair because she is above cheating, but she is not afraid to get mean.
She is generally friendly toward new people she meets and reserves judgement for them later. A patriotic mage, Ida is willing to work with anyone she deems a "true Caelian." The best way to gain her trust is to show anti-Belorman sentiment and support for the Caelian military. A little xenophobia also helps.
- Ironically, she sucks at playing strategy games, including chess. Her frustration over this often impedes her self-worth.
- She does not realize how xenophobic she is, and oftentimes proudly touts harmful ideas.
Become a high ranking official in the Caelian Army
She looks down on anyone who criticizes Caelua's policies, particularly with the military. If they hate her country so much, then they should leave it. She is also biased against foreigners, as she believes they are ruining the country's stability.
Competitive gaming. It's not something she indulges on often, but she is easily the best at FPS games in her entire grade.
- Reading history books, particularly on wars and war strategies.
- Dancing
- Going to the gym.

Alkae, Caelua
Amaranth Magic High School. Favorite class is Caelian history. Graduated 12th overall in her grade.
Chess Magic - Technical
White and black tiles that envelop the mage or spell being casted
- Pawn: creates a maximum of eight body doubles or Pawns. She cannot directly manipulate them, but their general actions are controlled by her will. They can each cast spells, but at a fraction of her original power depending on how many Pawns were summoned.
- Rook: a defensive form. Creates body armor and a shield that blocks both physical and magical attacks. If Rook is white, then mana is going into her shield. If Rook is black, then mana is strengthening her armor.
- Knight: can summon a white horse and/or a black horse. White is faster while black is stronger. Can be ridden or sent to aid her in battle like familiars.
- Bishop: spell-strengthening form, and least used. She prefers to use this form if she needs strong Pawns or Knights.
- Queen: melee combat form that wields a lance. It evenly boosts her physical strength, stamina, and mana-efficacy. Color does not matter, which has the possible effect of confusing her opponents.
- King: a spell that can only ever be used once. When she is at the brink of death, King will automatically revive her.
- Checkmate: allows her to drain the remaining mana from a defeated opponent.
- The strength of her spells depends on her physical strength and mana efficacy.
- Theoretically, she could spawn an infinite number of pawns if her pawns create more pawns. They wouldn't be strong, but they would make it difficult to discern where the real mage is.
- She can switch quickly through multiple forms
- Chess magic has a very rigid number of spells and does not enjoy the same flexibility that other magics provide. As a result, spell strength can only be improved through physical fitness and increasing magical stamina.
- When chess mages fight together, it allows for combination spells that would otherwise be inaccessible for lone chess mages. However, because chess magic is uncommon, chess mages rarely find each other. Even if they do, the chance that they must both fight on the same side is even rarer.
