Dorian, ship's carpenter, is a prodigal inventor and a speedy craftsmen. Due to the judgement he gets for his size and appearance, Dorian tends to lash out at any odd looks. He lost his blood kin, the only one of them that Hank was able to save in his grand escape from the Riven Isles post-schism. The pirate raised him on banjo music and poor parenting.

Dorian is grouchy and temperamental, but he's also got a soft side that is only shown to the Captain, or in regards to the Captain. Dorian hates alcohol because it changed the Captain and made him a worse guardian that Dorian deserved, but Dorian knew the Captain before the liquor and after and all through it and he still sees the man for the admirable hero he once was. Dorian loves him.
