I personally think mullets are nasty…

Lol me too it’s just what the hairstylist gave me when I asked for a fauxhawk style. It’s stupid but I’m too lazy to fix it so I’m keeping it.

Ok, update!! Wednesday I finally got authorized to go on T, and it’s finally happening!! I just need to wait for prior authorization from my insurance, and then I can finally start!! I’m using testosterone gel for now, and I’m super excited to start!! I’m going to record my experience on here so others can get a good understanding of what happens and what to expect, and I will also hopefully be able to share advice for those who intend to go on T someday. Ultimately it’s very exciting for me and I am so happy I’ve gotten to this point in my life where I can be my full, authentic self. Gender affirming care is lifesaving care, and I’m so excited to be who I’m becoming.

I probably won’t ever tell people that if I can avoid it. It’s pretty personal for me but I don’t find it rude inherently if you’re not trying to use it against me!!

That’s fine! Ok, so how I found out I was trans was a process. I’d always felt like my body never really fit, but due to my autism I was kinda always blissfully unaware of gender and biological sex as concepts and I just. Didn’t really care??? About it??? Anyways, eventually I started learning about queer folks at around ten years old as my parents conveniently forgot to mention that as something one could be. I learned more about gay and lesbian and bi at first, I knew what trans was but I never though I could be trans because it just seemed impossible for someone like me to be trans. Ultimately I started identifying at around 12 as bisexual during a session at a mildly homophobic Christian summer camp after a girl confessed she had a crush on me, and I proceeded to question reality for a few weeks before I told my mom about it and we figured out that hey! I might like girls!! Anyways, that eventually led to me figuring that I might be nonbinary because I always wished I’d been born a boy, but constantly called myself a tomboy and felt proud of being a girl as my mom is a hardcore feminist (which is awesome btw, don’t get me wrong) and it was sort of a mourning process to deny myself my femininity in order to feel like a “real man/enby”. However, I eventually came to terms with being an effeminate trans man and I’m honestly happier than ever!! I honestly see my gender as fully male, but I also see my gender presentation as fully fluid and it really just depends on the day how I want to look and feel. I need my body to look masculine as my dysphoria around that is pretty bad hence wearing binders and going on T but also I like pretty clothes and nail polish and stuff and it’s just… complicated lmao.

Ahh yeah- I went back the following year and came out to a counselor that I wanted to commit suicide because of the bullying I faced for being nonbinary and she said she “didn’t see why I felt the need to take the attention away from god” and “doesn’t support that lifestyle”
