Okay so the whole 'virgin sex is super bloody and painful' thing is kind of exagerrated, as long as her partner is gently and doesn't tear her hymen it shouldn't be a bloodbath.
Jenna Moreci covers it in a video of hers.

The first time hurts no matter what, but it's easily ignored and you really don't bleed a lot until a few hours after. It's like a brief period and done.

But if both people are virgins make sure it's sweet and awkward. No one is amazing their first time, so it's okay to make it a little more silly and focused on the emotions of the characters instead of the action itself.

@SaltyLasagna

Oh hey that reminds me, is there anything I need to know about writing a scene where two people are very in love but one is an anxious virgin and the other has lots of experience?

Deleted user

Just remember to keep them both in character. Anxious virgin may talk a lot, shake, etc. The more experience person would (SHOULD) be gentle about it. Laugh with the virgin not at them, reassure them, but don't make any decisions for them.
a love scene should be all about trust, confidence, and love.

@SaltyLasagna

Okay, that shouldn’t be too difficult bc the character with a lot of experience is naturally sweet and caring lol
And I low key didn’t know that scenes like this contained laughter?

Deleted user

lol common misconception. I can't tell you how many times i've laughed because something stupid happened. we bumped heads, someone made a weird noise, the cat jumped on someones butt (true story). It's just funny and happy and all those good feelings that bubble up in your throat and make you want to die of laugher.

I'm experimenting with the dreaded "hate sex" because two characters of mine get upsetted with each other and then things get a little intense. I want to write it in a way that makes you not think the two are entirely bad just a little confused and angry and GODDAMN HORMONES OKAY? Because both characters are innocent beans but can get a little intense. Also I don't want it to be rapey at all for the reason of because reasons so I'm going for "consensual hate sex" idk. I'm just weird and like to mess with character's heads. Derpity derp.

It'll be obvious in the situation that it is consensual. Just make sure to write the scene before the deed as intense and passionate as you can. You want that build up of emotion to let the reader know "oh shit this is about to happen."

Also add in a lot of physical touch in the scene beforehand. ie: female protag begins to storm away in a huff and male protag grabs her wrist and pulls her back (gently) so they can finish their argument or whatever. A grabs B's shoulders. etc. etc. It adds that extra flare of intensity and passion.

The deed itself shouldnt be rough per se, but with elements of diction that are more 'war like' than passionate. Hard and soft. You have to find that balance. ie: Their lips clashed together with bruising strength. Their bodies coming together like lightning, a hard strike that shattered the ground in pure light.

Afterward, have them be cold towards each other. one immediately leaves after dressing, promising it will never happen again.

Stuff like that.
