Zoe shot back rapidly. Bang! Each sound made as it hit it's target. Revenge. She was too angry to be scared. She saw the Cowboy's boy thump to the floor.

(XD Right! Crap.)
Cash stares at the weapon in shock for a millisecond before grabbing it. He risks a peek over the top of his crate; one. There's one of them from what he can see. Not twenty feet away, guns drawn….a cowboy. Cash would laugh at how stereotypical the guy looks, but he's too busy trying to blow the guy's brains out. He fires careful rounds in the direction of the murderer, yelling his throat raw as he does so.
She got out from under the table and kicked the body. Dead. Her face was unemtionaless.
(I'm going to go shower. Be back in 15 minutes at most)
(Okay, nothing happened while I was gone.)
Pollux was still sitting behind the crate, still quite horrified.
"That was… an uninfected person…" he said in a raspy voice. He knew that they had mentioned the cowboy earlier, but he still could not believe that someone uninfected would try to kill mankind's chance of overcoming the plague.
"Yeah." Cash stares at the body. "Some people are sick like that." Cash registers the drag on Pollux's voice and turns to him. "Hey, whoa. You okay?" He gets closer to him. "Whoa, you're not okay."
Pollux wanted to protest. He wanted to say everything was alright, but he wasn't so sure. Bullet wounds, anywhere on the body, could prove fatal if not treated properly.
"Just don't panic," he said, more for himself than for Cash.
Cash nods, eyes wide. "Here," He helps Pollux lower himself more to the floor. "Zoe, be sure that cowboy is actually dead."
Pollux used his uninjured arm to hold the opposite arm up above his heart. His fingers and hands were trembling as he did so.
"Okay." Cash kneels next to Pollux and looks, not focusing, on the wound. "Okay." He says again. He sets the gun off to the side and folds his hands together. "What do I do?"
"First and foremost, the bleeding has to be stopped. The bullet's still in there, I think, but we'll have to worry about that later. It'd probably kill me if anyone were to remove it now. Also make sure I keep this arm elevated. It reduces blood flow to the wound. Then… I'm not sure where to go from there yet. I-I'm more worried about surviving initially." Pollux tried to take deep breaths and not show his pain, but it was definitely the worst he'd ever been injured. He did his best to treat it like it was someone else's wound, not his own. That bit of dissociation kept him from panicking too much, but the pain was close to unbearable still. Pollux tried to sit up a little, but the pain alone was enough to make him faint.
"Oh, okay. Okay." Cash turns and snatches his backpack, pulling out a pack of t-shirts that he scavenged from a store a couple of weeks ago. He tears the plastic wrapping and pulls out a shirt. 'At least it isn't white.' he tells himself. "This is all I've got to work with," He tells Pollux, holding up the green t-shirt. "Oh." He pulls out an unopened water bottle. "And this."
"Yeah, help me tie that around my arm. Not too tight. No water. I'll clean it later with something else when I'm not dying." His consciousness started wavering even more, just from the pain and panic of the whole situation. "Although, honestly, I'm not feeling too good over here."
Zoe went to the (Cooler thingy??) And saw that there was some ice left over. She scooped it up and found a baggie to put it in. Then she picked up an old rag and walked over to Pollux. "Here." She said in a brittle voice .
Pollux placed the rag over the shirt tied around his arm and then placed the ice over that. The pressure increased the amount of pain he felt, but he knew that this was the only way to save himself. He sat all the way up, but just as soon, he was overcome by pain and emotions he had never felt before, and it was too much. He slumped over, losing consciousness for the time being.
Cash makes sure Pollux doesn't fall over and crack his head open on the cement floor; he sits him up against the crate. When he's done he turns and goes over to the body of the cowboy. There's a small smile on the man's face, and Cash shivers at the sight of it. "This guy was nuts," is all he can say.
Pollux was only out for a minute or two, but he woke up feeling dazed and struggling to come to terms with everything that happened.
"C-Cash…? Zoe…? Are you two still here?"
Cash quickly steps over to his wounded…friend? He swallows back his nausea at the sight of the wound. "Yeah, Pollux? We're here." He puts a hand on Pollux's shoulder to solidify his statement.
Pollux looked at the wound on his arm. It was bleeding a lot, which scared him. If he died, though, it wouldn't be fast enough. It would be painful and slow. "Okay… good." Pollux turned his head back and looked up at Cash.
Cash is shocked at how pale Pollux is. "Dude, we've got to stop this." He points at the wound. "Could you…" He frowns, looking closer at the wound. "Could you walk us through what to do?"
"Pressure… that's really all you can do. The ice might help slow the flow, but that's all. I know it only hit my arm, but bullet wounds are nothing to sneeze at." Pollux started to move a little bit, but he winced in pain. He knew his pain tolerance was not the best, and it was getting to him. He had already fainted once because of it, and there wasn't much he could do to help his allies help him if it happened again.
Cash nods, recalling a little of his vague knowledge of open wounds. He scoops up more ice, wrapping it into the rag, and reassembles the 'bandage' around Pollux's arm. Then he applies some pressure to the wound, wincing with the knowledge of the pain it is surely causing.
Pollux squirmed a little at Cash's touch, but he tried not to react too much so as not to scare Cash or make him accidentally hurt Pollux any more. He was panting a little bit. His heart was beating fast between the the pain, losing blood, and the fear. "I-I'm sorry…" Pollux whispered, unsure what for. Maybe it was for getting in this situation, or for not being as strong as he wished.
"Hey," Cash moves a little so he's sitting down beside Pollux instead of kneeling. "This isn't your fault, dude. I'd say it's rather difficult to dodge a bullet when there's some crazy loon at the trigger." He sighs. "I almost blacked out just from the reality of the whole thing."
"No kidding… Cash, if I don't make it… you need to…" Pollux had trouble finishing the sentence, not because he was fading so fast, but because the notion of him dying so young and talking about it freely terrified him. He wasn't ready for that.
(I have to go take a test. Be back in an hour or so.)
