Lia observed the wolf leave the area and leaped out of the tree to the forest floor, she lapped up the cold water daintily. Her head began to clear and she spotted a clearing in the distance. Unsure of where else to go she climbed the nearest tree and jumped from branch to branch heading for the clear area.
(I saw the pictures! Super cool .o.)
Riverpaw heard distant movement, but it was heading away from her; she peered through the foliage and saw something moving further into the forest. She moved out slowly, in case they came back or something else came along, and she sniffed around the area where they had been. She really didn't want to interact with an unfamiliar wolf in an unfamiliar place, but maybe they knew where she was and could help her find her way home. She hesitantly followed the scent of the other wolf, keeping a fair distance and staying to the shadows.
Sofie was aware that the pup was following her. She wasn’t exactly sure why, but she played along and pretended not to notice. An idea suddenly popped into Sofie’s mind. It was obvious and she wondered why she hadn’t thought of it before. There were fish in the stream, small fish, but large enough to eat. They did swim by quickly, but Sofie was a skilled fisher and could probably catch enough to ease her hunger. She turned around and headed back to the stream.
(I’ll be on vacation for a week so I can’t respond :(
(Aww. Have fun at least!)
Riverpaw flinched and dove into a bush as soon as she noticed the figure of the wolf come back towards her. She waited for them to pass, wondering why they were going back the way they came.
(Guess what, I have WiFi! I can maybe sorta sometimes do the RP)
Sofie sat by the stream and watched the water rush by. Mist sprayed up and cooled her thick fur. Little fish swam by quickly and Sofie attempted several times to hook one out of the water. She huffed in exasperation after a few minutes of trying to catch something.
(Srry, bad writing I’m going quickly)
Riverpaw shuffled nervously on her paws, her eyes trained on the splashing water. Watching the wolf fish, even though she hadn't yet caught anything, was making the pup realize how hungry she was getting. Carefully and quietly, she stepped out from under the ferns and tilted her head to try and better see the wolf's face.
(I just ate some wolffish Lol and I thought about that when I read “wolf fish”)
Sofie had the sudden feeling of being watched. She continued to fish but her ears twisted so that they faced forward in a position of alertness. Her tail raised slightly; confidently. Small signals to say “I know you’re there” without every actually speaking.
Riverpaw stopped, watching the wolf closely. "U-um…uh…hi?" She figured they were smart enough to know they were being followed, she may as well let herself be known.
Sofie was a little surprised by the reply. She wasn’t expecting the wolf to show herself. Letting her tail drop into a comfortable position, Sofie replied, “Hello.”
"H-hello." She slowly made her way over until she was sitting a little bit behind them. She glanced around, then quietly took a deep breath. "Can y-you tell me where I am r-right now?"
Sofie looked at her paws, “Actually… I was hoping you would know.” Suddenly the wind picked up and a feline-ish sent was carried towards the wolves.
Lia felt the wind shift and stiffened, now her sent would be carried to the wolves, this was not good, not good in the slightest.
"I-I don't…" Riverpaw flinched at the wind dragging in a new smell. Her ears perked and swiveled around, and she turned to look into the trees around her and the other wolf.
Sofie couldn’t help but growl. She was in a new place and this was a new smell. Clearly the same thing that happened to the silver wolf also happened to the pup and perhaps the feline as well. But who knew if the new arrival was friendly or not. Sofie’s growl only lasted a second but she turned and scanned the trees and soil behind her.
(Summer is almost over :(
(Random question: what are your favorite colors?)
(My summer is over sadly that's why I've been hard to catch online, My favorite color is a very specific shade of purple)
(Oh that's pretty. Mine is turquoise.)
(Oooooo, nice. My favorite color is totally boring (That’s just what other people say)
