I stopped and hovered in the air, turning my head to look at Lupus, Riverpaw, and Lia. “Is there somewhere you want me to go?”
I stopped and hovered in the air, turning my head to look at Lupus, Riverpaw, and Lia. “Is there somewhere you want me to go?”
Riverpaw glanced down at the forest as it continued to quake and crumble. She squeaked and immediately hid her face in Sofie's fur. "I-I don't care, just someplace safe!" She cried.
(AWW THE LITTLE NUTTER BUTTER!!!!! Nutter Butter is an adorable name)
Lupus was looking back at the forest with an unreadable expression. He didn't seem to be expressing anything strongly at all, although he was a little bit upset, perhaps a bit angry, and wondering how many of the animals had gotten out alive.
“Lia, Lupus? Any preferences?”
"Another forest, maybe? A nice cave up in the mountains? I dunno, I'm not picky."
Below us, the ground began to split open. Lava shot out from the holes in a mountain of fire. Geysers began spraying scalding hot water in the distance. “Um, Uh-oh. I’m just gonna fly!” I turned around and flew towards the forest, beating my wings as fast and hard as I could. The lava was spraying higher than I was flying.
(So, how’s it going? XD)
(Does anyone have an idea of what the area looks like? If not I can draw it out lol)
(I have a pretty good idea, but that's cool :3)
(Oki ;)
I kept flying, the forest seemed so far away yet so close. We were almost out of the field now covered in lava geysers. A strange blue glow emitted from the cracks in the ground. A spout of lava shot up from the ground to our left. I let out a squeak, It was close enough for me to feel the heat from the molten rock.
Lia hissed and crouched lower on the wolfs back
Riverpaw keep her eyes closed, but she could hear the noises; the ground was trembling, trees were falling. The cries of animals rung in her head, and she clung onto Sofie harder.
I glanced over my shoulder to make sure the others were ok. Just a little more… The heat was starting to become unbearable but I had to make it, just to the trees. Just… to the trees. I knew the heat was affecting me more than Lia and the pups. Out of the blue, the trembling stopped. The geysers ceased. The trees discontinued to fall, but the cracks remained glowing.
Lia hissed
(Y u hiss Lia????)
(Lia's in a bad mood)
(O noooooooo)
('Tis true)
I continued to fly even though the earthquake stopped. I wanted to avoid all destruction. I wondered how far the earthquake had radiated, for as far as I could see there were toppled trees and a few glowing cracks.
Riverpaw peeked over Sofie's shoulder, gasping at the sight of the forest. "W-what…how d-did this happen?" She asked quietly. She tugged Sofie's fur a little, trying to get closer to her ear so she wouldn't have to yell over the wind. "Sofie, w-what happened?"
“The earthquake!” I replied, “It’s destroyed most of the trees. I’m trying to find somewhere the quake didn’t reach!”
I continued to fly, the trees rushed by like lightning. As I flew, the forest began to look better. Less toppled trees and underbrush.
Riverpaw carefully glanced around, wincing at the damaged forest. She spotted a large group of animals running towards an opening in the forest, and she gave Sofie's fur another tug, hoping the older wolf would see the opening in the trees. Th-that looks..safe.
