(I use both soft and cell shading, and I like to have multiple shading layers for adding lots of effects. For a complete drawing, I can have between about 15 and 30 layers.)

(Well, like, it's not just shading layers. That's all of the layers, and the amount depends on the complexity of the drawing and what effect I'm trying to produce.)
