“Uuuuuuuuhhhhhhh weeeelllll I have another wayyyyyyy but it kinda seeeemmsss uuhhhhh hehehehe never mind. Hop up?”

"Hop up where?" Adolfa tilted her head.

"Come on guys! You can do it! I believe in you!" Lupus poked his head over the edge, looking down at Sofie and Adolfa.

"Thanks! But I have no idea what Sofie wants me to do, I'm probably too heavy for her to carry!" Adolfa called up.

I bit my lip. I have no good ideas! What can I do…? “Maybe a big log or something? It has to be REALLY big though. Ugh! I can’t think of anything!”

"Can you guys climb? Or maybe Lia can turn into a person again?"

"Maybe, uh," Adolfa hesitated, "You guys just go! I'll find a way out, don't worry about me!" she didn't want anyone to know.

"We can't leave you!" Lupus whimpered.

“We’re not leaving you. I have another way, it’s just I’m sure it will work.”

"N-No! I'll be fine, I'll catch up with you guys, ok?"

Lia sensed an air of secrecy about the wolf, she wasn't scared, those were not the words of an animal who was scared. She sent Adolfa a look that said You have a way up don't you

Adolfa saw the cats look and she looked back, trying to say, Yeah, but I don't want anyone to know.

"But we can't just leave you, Adolfa!" Lupus's tail drooped.

"Trust me, I'll find a way, but I'm just slowing you guys down right now," Adolfa said, "Just go and I'll catch up with you guys!"

Lia flicked her tail, "Fine but catch up." Lia walked away from the edge, "Hurry up you two."

Adolfa quietly sighed in relief, "See? Lia understands."

Lupus whimpered, hesitating before standing and padding quietly after the others.

Adolfa sighed in relief again when everyone was gone, That cat's got a feast coming her way, Adolfa thought. She trotted over to a small sprout and willed its leaf to grow bigger. When it was big enough to fit her and thick enough to hold her weight, Adolfa stood on it. She willed the stalk to grow taller. When it grew to the lip of the chasm, she jumped onto the rock and sprinted after the group. As soon as she could make eye contact with the cat, she gave her a look that said, Don't worry, you'll get a feast.

"Hey Pup look, stop whimpering, I told you she would catch up. I'm not heartless you really think I would leave her there?" Lia gently chided the wolf pup as Adolfa joined them.

Do they notice I’m not with them, that if they turn their heads they’ll se me? I saw what Adolfa did and I’m not surprised. I bet all of us have powers. I know I do. Maybe it’s the best time to share them. I walked up from behind and trotted to the front of the group. “I think it’s time we all share our powers.” I said, stopping the wolves and cat.

“Powers?” Adolfa acted like Sofie was crazy, “I believe you and Lia have some, seeing as you have wings and she turned into a human, but I’m just a regular wolf”
