“You were acting suspicious, I think it’s time we get to know each other. I have more than just wings. I’m not saying anything else until someone says something.”

"Something," Adolfa huffed, "There you go, I said 'something,' happy?"

“Heh, that’s not what I meant and you know it.” I said in amusement. Then I raised my head and glowered down at Adolfa, “Would you like to tell us how you got out of the cave?”

"I looked around and saw a tunnel that led out of the cavern," Adolfa growled, "And after that, I found a small tree and used it to walk across the cavern because I had come out on the opposite side you guys had gone. After I had crossed, I kicked it down, just in case anything was following us," Adolfa had thought of an excuse just in case they were suspicious. The plant she had grown had also shrunken down back to normal because she had used a temporary spell on it.

“I checked everywhere and the only tunnel I could find was the one the waterfall was coming out of. It would be impossible to leave that way. Your aren’t wet so you didn’t go through there. Don’t lie, if you tell, I’ll tell.”

"There was a small start to a tunnel near the tunnel, so I dug it up and went that way," Adolfa was slightly dusty, so it wasn't unbelievable, "I shook myself off before I came so I wouldn't be too dusty when I got here," Adolfa growled at Sofie, "I've got nothing to hide."

“Okay, what about Lupus? And Lia? Anything?”

Lia flicked her tail, "I was cursed with a human form and I'm a cat so I have nine lives, I have a very keen sense of magic, It has a very distinctive smell to me." Lia glared at Adolfa And you reek of magic

Adolfa flinched at Lia's glare. She hoped Lia wouldn't tell anyone.

Lia head butted the puppy, "This one has the magic smell, he's so young I doubt he knows how to use it."

I smiled. Okay, that’s one out. I have ice powers. I usually use them all the time, but you know. Monsters, other creatures I don’t want to know.”I said looking at the group, smiling still.

"What? I don't think I have any powers… do I?" Lupus sat down, lost in thought. What kind of powers would I even have?

“Maybe? Try it out. I can teach you or something,”I said before whispering to myself, “Coral was never real help, do I even know how to teach someone to use magical powers?” I say down with a plop and cocked my head, letting my ear flop in a cute way.

“Sorry that I was a little harsh, I got a little flustered. It happens sometimes.”

"Try what out? I don't have any idea what kind of magic I'd have."

“Just think of making something. Like an ice stalagmite, or a giant sprout, or a blade of grass burst into flames.”

"Um, okay." Lupus thought of each object, closing his eyes to focus and opening them each time he thought of something. Nothing, nothing, nothing… wait, what if I tried…? Suddenly a weak, wavering forcefield appeared around the wolf pup.

“WHOA! Super cool! Yay! That could have been super helpful…” I wish I still had that power… I lost them all when I crossed the mountain pass. Strange. At least I still have two. And my wings.

Lia sniffed the magical boundary taking in the pups signature magic sent, She swiped at the wall it flickered but held, "With practice you could protect a pack of wolves from an avalanche."

"W-What happened? Did I do something? I'm dizzy…" Lupus swayed a bit on his paws before falling over, dazed. The forcefield disappeared.

“Uh oh, are you okay Lupus? You must of used a lot of energy to do that! You created a forefield!” (I was tempted to say maa or maha instead of energy cause that is what they say in the book Foxcraft. It’s kind of like a life source mixed with magic power stuff)

Lupus groaned a bit. "Yeah… s'all good…"

“I’ve experienced that before when I use my powers too much.” Especially and specifically my healing powers.

Lia nodded, "My human form takes a lot out of me as well so I limit my self to 5 minutes and only use it when I'm well feed."
