A man drops from the trees to run alongside them. His eyes illuminate the ground in front of him, reflecting the sparse light. Casting a glance to the kids, and to the men behind them, he curses under his breath. The faint shing of a blade being drawn from a sheath. A flash of silver as the knife hits his skin. As the blood spatter hits the ground behind them the leaves start to tremble, and the dirt starts to rise. Skeletal wolves shake themselves off, throwing themselves at the policemen. The man urges them to keep running.

Orion heals his wound, leaving another faint scar to join the others. Looking behind them, he lets out a sigh of relief. "We lost them, forgive me for popping out of nowhere like that. I do not normally do things like that. My name is Orion, and as you can see I use traditionally 'Dark Magics.' Thank you for not leaving me behind."

Lata stares at him in slight confusion due to his ears and tail. She disregards it for now. He assisted them so there's no room to judge him.

Elentiya started driving them away. “Who’s kids are these?” She asked, looking in the mirror.

The man Orion answers. "I…do not know, but it is safe to assume that their parents will be able to find them. Unless, of course….they were unable to escape." His eyes darken with sadness, and his ears seem to droop as he finishes speaking.

“I guess we can ask them when they wake up. They look old enough to talk.”

“Can someone turn to the news? No way this was kept off the Internet, especially in the Witch conversations.”

Tamara looked into the boy's eyes and gently tucked his hair behind his ear. "Hey, hon. What's your name?"

The boy began to stir awake to Tamara's voice.
"T-thank you for saving us miss…" he said quietly.

"My sister's a real hard sleeper so she won't wake up until later," he added.

“D-damian,” he replied.
