John smiled warmly, happy as he could be. Even if it’d be a small marriage, he was elated to be married officially to the love of his life. He kissed Halo’s forehead, smiling even more, “You make me happy, Halo.”

Halo smiled at John, kissing gently over his neck before kissing him. He just couldn't keep away from John. He loved the other too much. "You make me happy too, John." He mumbles against the others lips, He was marrying John. He was going to be with John for the rest of his life.

John hummed in joy, snuggling closer to Halo as he asked quietly, “Will we have anyone come to our wedding, or will it be just us?” John didn’t care either way, he was content with just marrying the love of his life.

Halo hums in thought before shaking his head. "It's up to you, love." He replies, kissing John's forehead. He sighs happily, nuzzling into the others warmth.

“Who would come? Do you know anyone…?” John asked softly, slowly dragging his hand through Halo’s hair. He smiled a little, remembering how he had ran his hands through Halo’s hair so many times last night.

Halo shakes his head. "Only a few. What about you, love?" He asks, purring at John's touch.

“I only really know my family, and I doubt they’d be able to come…” John laughed a small bit, but it was slightly forced. His parents were probably going to think him dead…

Halo nods as he yawns softly, resting against John. He nuzzles into the others side, kissing his cheek. He wraps his arm around John, his fist resting above John's heart. "I love you." He mutters softly.

“I love you too,” John replied softly, closing his eyes and tucking his head into Halo’s neck as he whispered, “I love you more than the world…” John lightly started planting kisses on Halo’s skin, working up to the other’s jawline.

Halo blushes and smiles sweetly at that. He tilts his head, allowing John to kiss where he pleased and sighs happily. He sighs and smiles, running an hand through his lovers hair. "I love you so much."

John smiled onto Halo skin, then laughed a little bit, “We really should get up, you know…” John pulled away to look at Halo with loving eyes, propping himself up on his elbow.

"Nuuuu…" He whines. "I wanna stay in bed." He mutters, kissing John gently as he rests beside the other. He looks up at John with a pout on his lips.

John laughed, mostly because he wanted to stay in bed too. “Look at this,” John drawled as he moved to lay on Halo’s chest, “You’ve turned a perfectly good soldier who woke up at at least six every morning to a man in love who gets out of bed at noon.” He moved to rest his head over Halo’s heart, smiling happily.

Halo laughs as well, kissing his forehead. "I don't regret it at all. I am not a morning person." He mutters softly as he holds the other in a gentle and loving grasp, sighing happily.

John smiled happily, closing his eyes again as he counted Halo’s breaths. “Can every day be like this?” He asked soft, tracing over Halo’s chiseled chest. He was so warm and soft… John never wanted to leave.

"I love that idea." He mutters, kissing John gently. He loved this. Being like this in John's arms, safe and secure. John was warm and gave out a sense of welcome and peace. He smiles. He was going to marry John. It made his happy.

John smiled at each and every kiss, knowing he was safe. He’d always be safe like this. No more battles, no more death, no more comrades to mourn over. But that monster they had faced… No, it wouldn’t be able to track us, would it? John brushed the thought away, but couldn’t stop himself from tensing for a quick moment before relaxing again. We’ll be safe.

Halo looks up at the other, sensing him tense. "Baby. Is something wrong?" He asks gently, looking at the other with calm crimson eyes.

“No, I’m fine,” John brushed it off, and he looked away. I’m safe. Nothing will hurt me, not more battles, no more blood- John clung to Halo, pressing his face into his love’s shoulder. “I’m okay, I’m okay,” The former soldier whispered to himself as he seemed to tense up more.

Halo became concerned before he gently wrapped John in his warm and gentle grip, his enormous wings wrapping around them protectively. He kisses John's forehead. "You're safe, baby. I've got you." He says gently, pressing soft kisses to the side of his face, his lips, his nose. He held onto John, warmth flowing from his body.

John felt like he couldn’t get enough air in, and he saw them. Just for a second, but he saw his comrades dying again. He saw Halo being attacked again. John took a shaky breath, hiding in Halo’s arms. Safe, I’m safe, I’m safe. He slowly -gosh darn so slowly- managed to return his breathing to normal and calm down. “H-Halo…” He squeezed his eyes shut, blocking away the memories.

"Shhh. John. Baby, its okay." he whispers softly, kissing his forehead as he held the other gently. "I've got you. I've got you." He whispers. He holds the other and runs a hand through his hair. "Shhhh. It's okay. I'm right here."

“I’m- I’m scared,” John didn’t even know what he was afraid of, he just had felt a wave of terror grip him like an iron fist. He tried to focus on Halo, he tried so d-mn hard to force that fear away from him, but the memories lingered in the corner of his mind. They prowled like a beast stalking prey.
