The Doctor shook his head, "Point is, we have to stop the ship before it reaches earth…"
"How do we do that?" John asked.
"Get on the ship…that's as far as I've gotten."

"Doctor, did you pick up stupidity from Clara or was I the only one that had common sense when we travelled together?" Sherlock asked.

"Sherlock, calm down." John said, the Doctor's face formed a frown.
"I am not as young as when we traveled together, Sherlock. Clara is not stupid."

"Compared to you and me, yes she is." Sherlock retorted. "Is this secretly a drug cartel?" Clara asked, holding a bag of assorted medications and drugs, not all of them appeared to be entirely legal. "Also mine, and I'd rather you not rummage about my things." Sherlock sighed, she really was an idiot to assume their flat was a drug cartel. John would never put up with it. "Doctor, what's the plan to get on the ship? You can't exactly materialize the TARDIS, that would be suicide."

"Yes but the only other option is to let the Sontarans land, and get ourselves captured, which is also suicide. Taking the TARDIS onto the ship is the better option as then we have her with us for a quick escape."

"Or we could find a vortex manipulator, they aren't that difficult to locate if you know where you can get them." Sherlock said. "Fortunately for us, and the TARDIS, I do know."

"Where? You haven't been talking to Jack and Torchwood now have you?" The Doctor asked, eyebrow raised.

"Torchwood keeps trying to contact me. As if I would move to Cardiff." Sherlock said. "But yes, I have been talking with Jack. Nice fellow but a little bit too forward for his own good. Practically a walking innuendo." Sherlock scoffed.

The Doctor shook his head, “Well, I guess that’s the best place to start.”

"Wait, who's Jack?" Clara asked. Sherlock shrugged. "I'll leave you to your deductions." he scoffed.

The Doctor ignored Sherlock, “Captain Jack Harkness, an old friend of mine, I haven’t seen him in years. He used to travel with me and…Rose but he left and started Torchwood in Cardiff.”

"I thought Torchwood got destroyed at Canary Wharf." Clara said. She knew about Rose, but there was never any mention of a 'Jack' that she knew of.

“Nope, they’re still going but not many people know.”

"Oh. Wasn't Torchwood… how do I say this… Evil?" Clara asked.

“They were but Jack has reinvented it, made it better so they’re not evil anymore.”

"Neat. Well, let's go check it out then, I suppose." Clara said. "No time to dawdle, even with a TARDIS." she chuckled.

“Yeah, come one.” The doctor said, making his way to the door, “You coming?”
“I’ll go.” John said.

"Doctor, of course I'm coming." Clara laughed. Sherlock shrugged, and entered the TARDIS. "You redecorated. I don't like it." he said.

“Oh you never do,” He flipped some switches and placed in the coordinates, “To Torchwood!”

When they landed, Clara was the first to leave the TARDIS. They were near a busy road, nothing seemed to scream 'Torchwood' to her. "Doctor, did we land in the right place?" Clara asked.

“Yup. Jack should be coming in three, two, one…” And on cue a man in a long, billowing coat ran out to meet them. Fairly tall fellow, pretty good looking as well.
“Doctor, it’s good to see you again.” He said with a slight American accent(?) and hugging him
“Like wise.”

"Hey, I'm Clara. The Doctor's told me all about you. Well, that would be lying to say he's told me all about you, let's settle for the bare minimum he could tell me. Slightly lower than the bare minimum." she said to Jack, smiling. Sherlock nodded to the Captain, but didn't say anything.

“I’m Doctor John Watson, please to meet you Captain,” He saluted and Jack saluted back.
“An army man? Please to meet you as well Doctor,” he clapped his hands together, “What can I do for you all today? Especially this lovely lady.” He said, winking at Clara.
“Stop it.” The doctor said.

"I don't mind it, it's charming." Clara said. "I haven't come to accept your offer, in case you were wondering. You have a vortex manipulator, albeit a broken one, but we could fix it. We need it to… well, we need it." Sherlock said.
