Elodie nodded, and with June's help, stumbled, limping, outside, to the furthest spot away from the door at the back of the building she left June around a corner and turned the corner, slowly unbuttoning her jeans with shaking hands.
She slowly pulled them down her legs, thankfully they were loose enough the not rub against her skin when she pulled them down and she used her free hand to pull them backwards, away from the area of urinal release.
She then used her other hand to steady herself against the wall, where she then began to relieve herself, after a moment, she realised she had not used the bathroom since at least six days ago, and wondered if this is because of dehydration, or infection.
She sat for a minute, letting herself air dry, as she had forgotten to ask Gus for toilet paper and then slowly, repeating her gesture inside, heaved herself up, in which she bent down to shimmy her jeans up her legs slowly, rebuttoning them, with continuous shaking fingers.
She let herself stand against the wall for a few moments, trying to catch her breath, when she heard rustling coming from the nearly dead bush about 50 feet in front of her. She inhaled, holding her breath and biting her bottom lip.
If it was a screamer, then she'd be unable to run, the only thing she could do was try or at least hope she'd get away.
A small, ginger kitten bounded out of the bush, mewing softly at her. She scooped him up, then crept around the corner, standing face to face with June, she held up the kitten with a small, pure, smile.
