(Hm? you see nothing)
(Oh really I need new glasses then,,,)
(Apparently)
Salmook watches Sylvia return, although he side-eyes Lucas the whole time.
"Why Salmook here? Why leave him with hurt-y people?! And jabby people, too?"
Blaze jumps awake, disoriented and confused.
She was scared and pissed beyond all reason.
A soul curdling shriek of rage can be heard even from where everyone else is, followed by extremely loud thuds as Blaze does everything she can to tear the door out of its frame.
Tseth suddenly looks up in the direction Blaze screamed. He almost looked scared for a moment, before returning to a neutral face. He looks over at Sylvia, waiting for her to speak.
(Oh dear)
(‘Twas a good idea to lock her up for a bit 💀)
(Damn, I didn't really mean for her to be this unstable to the point where even Tseth is scared of her-)
Daphne starts to stir slightly, jolting awake when Blaze screams. She quickly tries to sit up, but she collapses as pain shoots through her entire body. “Fuck- ugh… what happened..?”
Both Sylvia and Lucas flinch when Blaze screams. Sylvia glances at the others. “I guess it was a good idea to keep her away from everyone.”
(Eh- tseth’s been through some shit he’s surprisingly jumpy when it comes to loud noises)
Salmook shudders, pulling his cloak back over his face. Scary, scary danger-lady. Keep her away!
He reaches for his loop-toy and holds it close to his chest. Fiddling with it always makes him feel at least a little better - and it seems to be working now. He relaxes his breathing and repeats the question.
"Tell Salmook why here. Or Salmook get big mad."
He waits for Sylvia to answer.
Tseth looks over at Daphne. “Welcome back. Blaze knocked you unconscious and then tried to kick me in the head. Sylvia hit her with some kind of tranquilizer device.”
(When guns don’t exist in their world:)
Slowly, the pounding on the door - which left several dents in the material - gave way to punching the walls.
Then, it turned to tossing around the table, and decimating the bed.
By the end of her rage, Blaze stood in a dark room, surrounded by destruction.
She fixes her hair and uniform, and doesn't even bother trying to stop her hands from bleeding.
She knocks politely on the door.
"Am I allowed out?" she calls.
Daphne glances around. “So… is she gone now-?”
Sylvia nods. “Yes, she’s gone. Are you alright?”
Daphne looks at Sylvia. “I’m fine. Breathing’s a bit hard, though…“ She struggles to take a few deep breaths, then closes her eyes and grumbles to herself.
Sylvia sighs, then looks at Salmook. “As you should all know, you’ve all been selected to be contestants in our…” She narrows her eyes for a moment, thinking. “…Game show. Yeah… anyway, there are gonna be three main competitions, starting next week.” She checks her watch, then mumbles, “Lights out soon… I should wrap this up.” She clears her throat and looks back up at the others. “You’ll all be competing against each other, so don’t help out your friends.” She glances at Daphne and Tseth as she says this. “Any questions?”
As Blaze calls out, the same woman she had knocked out earlier answers. “No. You’ll be staying in there until tomorrow. And if you cause any more trouble, we’re locking you up until the first competition. Got it?”
(no)
(Oop- lemme just edit my response 💀)
Blaze nods.
"Fair enough. I really am sorry for going rogue like I did. I hope you can undesstand, however, that just as what I have done today has consequences, so does taking me from my place. Good night, Girl."
And with that, Blaze walks away from the door.
Salmook bristles a little. He glares at Sylvia.
"What mean compete? Why no help? And when tell Salmook? Me not know, you're liar-ing to me."
Sylvia glances at Salmook. “You’ll get more information about the competitions tomorrow, but we won’t make you fight to the death or anything like that, if that’s what you’re wondering. Also, as I just said, you’ll all be competing against each other, so you can’t help each other with the competitions. You should have gotten a letter about it two weeks ago…” Sylvia answers patiently. Ohhh, the kid doesn’t know how to read, does he? That explains it.
Tseth speaks up after Sylvia answers Salmook. “When can we leave?”
Sylvia pauses for a moment, thinking. “…The competitions will end in a few weeks.” I can’t tell him that they won’t be able to leave-
Tseth narrows his eyes at Sylvia. “That wasn’t an answer. When are we going back home?”
Salmook nods in agreement with Tseth.
"Want home!"
Sylvia stares at Tseth for a little longer, then looks at her watch. “Uh- you guys had better get back to your rooms soon.”
Daphne tries to sit up again, and actually succeeds this time, although she’s visibly in a lot of pain. “Why aren’t you answering the question-“
Sylvia shakes her head and puts up her hand. “Enough questions.”
Tseth stands up, staring at Sylvia. She was nice, but he didn’t trust her. He didn’t trust anyone here other than Daphne. He glances over at her, noticing the amount of pain she’s in. “Do you need help?”
