Running barefoot, Elise knew she wouldn't be able to outrun Havenwood. But there were trees - lots of them. Suddenly, Conscience flew up next to her.
"One: The roof. Two: Cheese?" Elise smiles.
"Conscience, you're a genius. You'll get that cheese." She scrambles up a tree and under cover of leaves, jumps to the roof and lays in wait.
Havenwood paused, staring at the open door.
Nah, bed. He turned and went back into his room.
(me)
(lol)
After counting off ten minutes, Elise sighs and clambers down to the kitchen window. Unlocking it slowly, she clambers in, followed by a complaining Conscience. Reaching into the fridge, she hands her a block of cheese. "Go to town. You earned it."
Havenwood was snoring away on the bed, sprawled out starfish style.
Elise rolled her eyes at the sight of him and went back to the kitchen. Grabbing Conscience, she went outside to walk as far away from the house as she could. If all went as planned, Havenwood would spend the day searching for her.
In reality, Elise realized, he'd probably stay asleep all day.
ah yes.
"Why don't you just leave him? If he really loves you all day and all night, too."
"Ah. Conscience. I like the bed."
Why is Conscience so persistent on getting her to break up with Havenwood? So random, so vague.
Bcz she wants Elise to have a profitable future and she thinks H is in the way
(I don't know what to do.
sorry i'm feeling really uninspired now, because an RP that I was part of just died and i feel like it was my fault.)
(me too…we need something from the plot.)
(and I'm sure it wasn't your fault.)
(imean i'm sure we can figure something out.)
(uhhhhhhhhhh yeah checks list of ideas oh)
(Oof. I could look up some ideas on Pinterest.)
Loud, fast footsteps approached Havenwood's door, who jolted awake.
"WhoOzaIR?" He called out sleepily.
Apollo was looking down at his twin, pale in the face. "Artemis. It's mum."
"Mum? You mean?"
Apollo nodded grimly. "Zeus found her dead when he went by this morning."
(whoa)
Intruder's footsteps brought Elise to her feet immediately, Conscience flying to her shoulder. She crept to the bedroom to find a truly shocking scene.
"What happened?" She asked, seeing Apollo's grim face.
Havenwood threw himself off of the bed. "We need to go now, then."
Apollo shook his head. "Zeus said it's too dangerous. They might be here, on Mt. Olympus still. Close your doors, lock them, close your windows and shut your blinds."
"What about you?"
"I'm going around warning everyone. You two need to stay safe."
"What? Apollo, Havenwood-" Both Elise and Conscience took a deep breath. "What is going on?" They shouted in unison.
Apollo and Havenwood gave them both an irritated look.
"I'll explain it to them, you go."
Apollo nodded and sped off, the door slamming behind him.
Havenwood started into motion, shutting the kitchen window, shutting all of the blinds and locking the door, his hands shaking.
