(We’re both at school so it’s gonna be a while)
(Okay, lol.)
(Sorry lol)
Bane pressed his cold nose against Em’s hand, wagging his fluffy tail back and forth. He was loving the attention and especially the pets. Bane barked in agreement to Em’s statement. Yes, he was good. He then turned his attention to Leila, whom had yapped a call for them to listen. Sitting down next to Em, he perked his ears, listening for any news to be told.
She smiled down at him as he pressed his nose into her hand, unfortunately since her hand was metal she really couldn't feel the coldness of his nose, but she still smiled down at him as she pet him.
Him wagging his tail was kinda cute too.
She chuckled when he barked in agreement to her goodbye statement.
She turned to towards Leila as she heard her call for attention.
(I think we’re just waiting for @Jaiden_Truthteller?)
(Shit yeah give me a minute, I'm getting ready for school)
(youre good!)
Leila nods when she has everyone's attention.
"Alright. I'll be telling all of yov why you're here. I had a dream. A dream where the world was being overtaken by shadowy monsters, a world where the oceans were blood and the sun was a dead cinder in the sky. But there was something that stood out, something strange. 6 sparks of light, fighting. Restoring the world. I've had this dream before, and do you know what I've found? That each time I had it, that dream, the sparks got closer and closer together. Until they all converged in a peculiar location. A castle dungeon. The castle where the shadows and destruction came from."
She pauses. "Do you see why I saved you now?"
"Your seriously telling us that you rescued us to save the world from shadowy monsters?" Sutechi spoke, with a slight scoff.
"Yeah, no. What's the world ever done for me that I should need to repay it? I'll tell you what, Nothing." He spoke, seemingly frustrated by the fact that he was supposed to save the world that's cursed him since he was just a little boy.
He scratched at the stitches on his neck as he looked away and went silent.
Em didn't say anything.
Arcturus nodded slowly. He wasn't sure if this was the group he would've picked, but… well, they were here now.
"Are you the 6th light, or was that Sardoth?"
Taeth, Stubs, Nix, Bane and he made 5. If they were already down a 'light', this was going to be difficult.
Leila closes her eyes for a moment.
"Sardoth would have been the sixth. I think I might be the new sixth, though." she says softly, before looking at Taeth.
"And yet, you live here. The world may scorn you, but its still your world."
Bane whined, trotting over to Arcturus. He grazed his nose against the elf’s hand, laying his head against the elf. A hellhound saving the world? Yeah right. They were created to destroy it. Bane couldn’t wrap his head around why he was here. The others made sense, but Bane was a death bringer. It seemed to follow where ever he went. The big puppy closed his eyes, finally shifting back, leaning against the elf. Bane didn’t remember a thing— well, only of the dream Leila told them about— the other doggie acts were a vague spark in his mind.
"i wouldn't care all that much if i ended up dead tomorrow, so do tell me why should i care about the world exploding on itself? Besides, for all we know it could just be mother earth finally deciding she's had enough with all the creatures living here," he spoke, staring down at Leilah. it wasn't the whole truth, but he wasn't exactly bold-faced lying.
"i mean honestly, you really expect this to go well? just because of some dream you had?" he raised a brow at her.
Emerse clenched her fist, "I dont exactly like the life I'm living, but that don't mean i can't fight for another chance at a better life for me and mah friends." she looked at leliah.
Nix was just confused, and frankly did not care much for the world. They only cared about themself and gaining wealth for the most part, because it is how they survived in this world for so long. Who knows, perhaps they would live better in that dark world of monsters than this one. Weren’t they already a monster themself? Their ears twitched in some vague response and they went to picking at their teeth.
Leila stares at Taeth for a moment, then walks towards him.
A gathering of energy, magical energy, swirls around her left hand, a black nimbus coalescing.
She stops when she's about six inches away from him and raises her palm.
"Do you really wish yourself dead? 6r do you want someone to notice that you're gone? To grieve for you? Do you just wish to strike at the world with your death?" she asks softly, silkily.
He looks up at her, at her hand before back at her again as she's talking.
He thinks for a few moments before letting out a sigh.
"That's not for your ears, it's my personal buisness what I want my death to mean. If I wanted you to know, then I would have told you."
He spoke to her, though he was clearly just trying to make a cover up for what she said being true for the most part.
Leila closes her hand into a fist, fight won.
"I won't pressure you, but I'm clearly right. Now, you can die here, or die fighting."
Arcturus watched all of their reactions, before closing his eyes. If this is how I end, I go to the Halls of Mandos with purpose.
He stood, looking at Leila with steel in his eyes. "So. When do we get to the defeating shadows bit?"
Arcturus standing up, in turn, made Bane tumble to the ground. The hound was now grumpy, as he was awoken from a well deserved nap. He had very soft pillow— a very soft pillow named Arcturus. Bane was now back to his humanoid form, furrowing his brow at the current conversation. He was lost. “What happened?” He didn’t remember much. That was the curse of a hellhound. You could never remember who you murdered. Bane sat up, brushing himself off after the tumble, still puzzled as to what happened.
Arcturus muttered down to Bane. "We're going to kill some things that need killing, you in?"
Bane raised an eyebrow, glaring at Arcturus. “Have you’ve forgotten everything about me? I am a hellhound, bringer of death and snatcher of souls.” A smirk crept upon his face. “Duh, I’m in! Why wouldn’t I be?”
She rolled her eyes, "course he's in. Well, ya got four out o' yer six, what do we do now?" She spoke, looking at bane and the elf, she shook her head softly as she crossed her arms and looked towards leliah.
Sutechi remained silent.
Leila smiles internally but keeps her face blank, serious.
"Well, I'm sure I can convince Nix to join us with an appropriate bribe." she says, pulling out a silver and moonsteel dagger. It reflects the light of the room a little too well, as it also had a Mirror Light spell on it.
(I am. So tired)
(Djsdkjdskdkjwd sorry! I will respond as soon as I can!)
