Archer glanced back at Runaan, eyes bright with hope before looking back at Valentina. “I can’t do that to you,” he repeated. “What if we both go after him and let him choose? I mean, he deserves a choice too, right?” What if he wanted Valentina all along?

“But that’s probably because of the books and the library, not me,” Archer responded, quick to deflect Valentina’s statement despite how much he clearly wanted it to be true. He just couldn’t believe it really. And he also didn’t want to hurt Valentina’s feelings.

Runaan set the book down, hurrying to grab another one. He hummed happily, seeming to be in bliss around the books he so loved. He wanted to stay like this forever. Enveloped in the happiness of the library. Reading forever.

Valentina walked over, sat down and tapped Runnan's shoulder. "Hey. Are you gay?" She asks, straight up honest and true. "I wanna know so I don't assume things for…future refrence." She says with a nod, trying not to hint that she still really liked Runaan.

Archer’s eyes widened. Well…that was one way to know whether Runaan was into guys or not. He swallowed, turning away so that Runaan wouldn’t see him blush if he happened to look Archer’s way.

Runaan looked up before tilting his head at the sudden question. He shakes his head. "No. I'm pan! I like people no matter what their gender is." He chuckled softly before returning to book hunting.

Archer only blushed harder. Shit shit shit I have got to stop this blushing, he thought, glad once again that he was still semi-translucent. He headed over slowly, trying not to look like an idiot. “Find any good books?” he asked Runaan.
