(hey can I join)
Name/Nicknames: Nysaxiope (Nys by her friends. Pronounced nis. Yes I am evil you must write out the whole name)
Age: 23
Species: Siren (Though I made changes so look in the "magic" and "other" for that)
Gender: Female, though when she uses magic to charm someone she can appear as another gender
Sexuality: Pan
Appearance: What her tail looks like: http://www.drawingskill.com/wp-content/uploads/1/Siren-Drawing.jpg Her tail is purple that slowly changes to orange at the bottom of her tail, the torso of a 5'11" person. If she had normal legs she would be 183 lbs, her hair looks like this: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/b2/1e/32/b21e323cb807fd6249fffaa6e1bc20dd.jpg She has deep blue eyes that if you look into too hardly then you will feel like a sailor lost on the ocean being beckoned to an island surrounded by sharp rocks (Don't look into her eyes too hard it'll make you go insane m'kay?)
Attire: Light purple button up shirt with black vest (The top of the uniform for her restaurant) or a loose sweater of a solid colour
Personality: Outgoing, goofball, trickster, stubborn, serious at times, quirky, self conscious of her body (I might add more)
Background(Optional): She ended up in Altir City after moving away from the last town she was in, which was a city of sea people (the city was half on land and half underwater), and always felt strange there because of her weight. As most sea monsters are, sirens are expected to be beautiful, in both body and voice. And while that may be true for her face, if you compare her body to any Naiad, Mermaid, or other Siren, she will look vastly different. She has always known this and it has always affected her. She tries to push it to the back of her mind but it is always there, nagging. In her last town, human ships often ended up on shore destroyed on the sharp rocks with all of the crew dead. It was expected of all Sirens in town to put at least a few ships there, and Nysaxiope didn't exactly appreciate that, but nonetheless, she learned how to lure in sailor to shred their boat on the rocks or just drown them. She wanted to bring her charming and manipulating magic to the service industry. She has live in Altir City for 3 weeks and her restaurant has been open for three days. It is called Nys Fish (okay l'll probably change this but it is what it is for now.)
Flaws: Mood can change really quickly
Quirks(Habits, triggers, or odd facts): She tries to be patient when people attempt to pronounce her name but it's hard, she loves just floating around doing loops or tricks in the air, her restaurant focuses on seafood
Any Weapons or Magic: In order to move around she floats in the air and pretty much moves through it like a mermaid would with water. She can float up to 30 feet in the air and normally floats at around 10 feet up but will lower herself when speaking to people. Can breath underwater, can see people's desires when she concentrates, her song can convince people to do anything, but only one target at a time, a knife she keeps with her just in case
Open to shipping?: Yes
Other(Optional) (Pets, titles, family, etc.): She's actually the daughter of the mayor of her old town
(Just said this on the OOC Chat but I’ll post it here to. You’re welcome to join! Also can I just say that the half underwater half land town thing reminded me a bit of my of my world’s Sullen Spirit Shallows. XD)
(OMG that was fricken amazing Dragoncita)
The window letting sunlight fill the room was enough to wake Aaron up. Not that he really wanted to wake up, this would probably be his only good sleep for a while. Wait, where am I? He thought, panicking as he sat up. It took him a second to remember he had fallen asleep after Nykidia showed him to a room. He dragged a hand through his messy brown hair as he gave himself time to fully wake up, silently working to remember the layout of this place. Cracking his neck he stood up, grabbing his coat and slipping it on. As he tried to do the top buttons he looked around for his boots, tripping on them as he took a few steps away from the bed to look around better. "Found them." He grumbled, getting up and putting them on.
Realizing he was already ready for the day made him realize just how much he didn't have now. "Which is why I'm listening to Corru's plan. He's helping me fix things." He muttered to himself. At this point it was a habit, even if he currently wasn't working on said plan with the others he still said stuff aloud. Where's Eberaus? The thought suddenly crossed his mind as he remembered the dragon saying he would follow. He doubted he would be able to find him, considering he didn't know what area of the city this casino was. Not that he knew where he was before. He didn't think much of it as he exited the room, doing his best to back track along the path Nykidia had used the other day. Though he found his way downstairs he had no idea what he was supposed to do.
"Hey Aaron!" Nykidia yelled from the bar. She always got up early so she could clean up the bar, restock the drinks and make sure all money was accounted for. Though they weren't her favorite tasks they weren't the worst either.
"Good morning." He replied. Walking over there was curiosity in his expression as he watched her restock supplies. Things have changed a lot from what I remember. He didn't know whether he was upset about that or not. Sitting on one of the stools he watched her put a few bottles away before he decided to ask about it. "What's that, uh, the stuff in the bottles?" Aaron questioned. He was more used to wood areas. Which was probably why he got lost the other day…. and had never gone to a casino or bar before.
"Beer, vodka, moonshine, whisky, rum and other alcoholic drinks." She said as she held up each one as she said it. "How did you sleep?"
"Oh." He had heard those terms before, maybe he had asked Jack once before, but he never really bothered to know much more about it. "I slept good. Usually I just find an old building or tree and sleep there for the night, so it was a nice change from what I'm used to." He said, crossing his arms on the counter and letting his head rest on them. It was true, and his voice held a happier tone now that he was well rested. He felt more like himself, whatever that was at this point, and it made him relax some. "Do you think Eberaus lost our scent?" He asked. He hadn't seen him so far, but Nykidia had mentioned something about the dragon having a hard time getting past some people.
Nysaxiope floated up from her bed. Ugh do I have to get up? No one made me wake up this early when I lived in Mertis, One part of her brain thought. Of course you do, you moved here to get away from that life and start your own, another responded.
She sighed out loud. With a flick of her tail moved to her dresser, floating two feet in the air so she could reach the drawers, and pulled on her shirt and vest. She looked up in the mirror. You still look terrible. You should just throw yourself onto the rocks in Mertis. Then no one with have to look at you again, the back of her head whispered at her. Shut up. It is you who should not exist, She responded. This conversation was an everyday occurrence and as much as it did annoy her, she ignored it.
Her bedroom was in the apartment above her restaurant. After she washed her hair, which was somewhat of a difficulty, as just like her body, her hair floated and did it's own thing, she pulled up a latch on the floor of her living room that opened up a small door on the ground, like one that you would find going to an attic, and she ignored the latter that dropped down and floated through the door. After she closed the door she sat down at the desk in her office, a room right next to the bathroom and across a small hallway from the kitchen. Nysaxiope sighed and thought about how understaffed she was. She was the owner and tripled as the waiter and manager. She had one host as normal, but no other waiters, and two cooks. She floated over to the front of the restaurant. A few booths lined the walls and a few tables where scattered in an organised way around the room. She had decorated in a pleasant way, meant to feel like you were underwater, with dark blue walls and dark green accents, lights like the trickle of sunlight you could see high above. The only thing strange at the restaurant were the two buttons on each table, and how the ceiling was twenty feet up. She liked to let people find out what the reasons for that were on their own. No accidents had happened yet, so that was good.
She checked that the help wanted sign was still posted and hadn't fallen. It was fine. She checked her watch. Employees should be arriving soon.
(OMG I had something wrote but it just got deleted.)
(Oh no! I did that a little bit ago by accidentally copying something before I posted my reply.)
"I doubt it. Dragons hold onto a scent better than a bloodhound. I should probably tell the bouncers to let him in. I like him. He seems kinda on edge, all the time. I want to help him with that." Nykidia said as she cleaned a shot glass
Aaron hummed in response. If he were still tired and out in the open maybe he would still be bothered that Eberaus was able to follow them, but instead he only had an offhanded comment. "Yeah, probably should. I don't trust easily though, so if one of us starts growling you should probably intervene." He picked up one of the shot glasses Nykidia wasn't cleaning, turning it over in his hand. "Who thought to make a cup this tiny?" He said. Having never had a drop of liquor in his life he didn't quite understand it was for the best the glasses were so small.
Nykidia gave him a weird look. "Have you never drank before?" She asked.
Aaron looked unsure hearing Nykidia's comment, setting the glass down as he crossed his arms again. "No? I've heard of those drinks before, but usually I stick with water." He admitted, feeling uncertain seeing the look the red-head gave him. "I grew up away from town for the most part, or at a cabin with my siblings…. Wasn't really around the stuff." His sentence trailed as a memory surfaced, only to shake his head as he looked back to Nykidia. "Uh, I was never really interested in it… Is that not normal or something?"
Rhea walked around with Talon across her shoulders. She looked for someone to talk to
Nykidia laughed at this. "Well the reason is because there is A LOT of alcohol in these so you shouldn't drink to much. Do you want some?" She said giving him the shot glass she just cleaned.
(I'm sorry my computer hates me today.)
(It's fine, it's not your fault a computer won't work.)
Aaron lifted his head as he looked at the small glass. "What's so great about it anyways?" He asked, "I mean, I could try it. I don't really understand how it's different from other drinks. I grew up when it wasn't really a big thing." Nykidia was acting like it was odd that he had never had one of the drinks she named, which made him both curious and a bit self-conscious. Though he hadn't had something to eat or drink at least in the past twelve hours, he wasn't really thinking about it honestly, so he wouldn't complain.
"Well it make you not feel the world as much. Your emotions can get kinda mixed up. Most of the people who come here to drink come to drink away their pain." She said bringing out bottles of whisky, vodka, rum, gin, and moonshine. "Which one do you want? There is whisky, vodka, rum, gin, and moonshine." She said tapping her finger on the bottle of the one she named off. She had a feeling that he didn't know much about alcohol.
"So, like being there but not really…" It seemed like an odd thing for people to want from their drink, but it certainly couldn't be worse than some things. He kept himself from muttering a question out loud, he may not be sure about the drink being offered but he knew muttering generally marked someone crazy. Can't be worse than some other things that have happened. He thought, partially reasoning with himself realizing he wasn't taking care of himself as far as hydration and food. "I guess whatever you think is good. I don't know the difference."
"Well I don't drink. I don't want to. Well at least until I'm 18. And the one people seem to like the best is either whisky or vodka. How 'bout you chose between those two?" Nykidia said putting the rest of the bottles away.
(hey im leaving this)
(Oh, alright. Hope you have fun in any other chat or RP you join!)
Aaron hesitated, unsure about the drink he was being offered, before tapping the vodka. "This one I suppose." Tapping his fingers on the counter as a nervous habit he paused before asking another question. "What kind of people come here anyways, or live in the city for that matter? I don't usually start a conversation with someone…. unless I'm planning on messing with them."
