"I go to Riverside high." Nixon answered and looked around the layout of the kitchen, a few people had been in and out grabbing drinks and food but it had been generally empty.
"I go to Riverside high." Nixon answered and looked around the layout of the kitchen, a few people had been in and out grabbing drinks and food but it had been generally empty.
“Cool. Do you— do you like it there?” Natalie finished her water, fingers drumming anxiously on the countertop.
"Yeah it's alright, the people there can be jerks but I think that goes with any school. At least the teachers are decent." He shrugged and finished his own drink.
Natalie nodded hesitantly. “I always— I always hated highschool. I’m glad that I— that I graduated.”
"I can't wait to graduate." He agreed "Although adult responsibility doesn't sound very appealing either."
Natalie laughed, though her voice trembled. “It’s not, but it’s— it’s better than high school.” She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, not realizing that she was exposing her one brown eye.
Nixon laughed "Yeah your probably right." He replied noticing her eyes but decided not to mention it Her eyes are so cool he though.
Aja stood in the corner, trying not to be noticed. They were nervous enough already, anyone coming to chat probably wouldn't help.
(Where are the others?)
(Rvan’s in the kitchen… Tbh I don’t know what to do >_< )
(Maybe once they are all in the kitchen the cops get called on the party and they all leave and hide out together?)
Ooh good idea!)
Natalie laughed back, the slightest hint of anxiety peeking through in her tone.
(Thanks!)
Rvan stood in the corner of the room, frowning at the floor. This party wasn’t much, and he just didn’t feel like pretending to have fun tonight. He took another sip of his drink, then set the cup down on the table.
Natalie shifted backwards, accidentally bumping into something— or someone (Rvan). She jumped, whirling around. “I’m so sorry- I— sorry!”
Rvan took a step away from the stranger, already tense as he mumbled, “Uh, yeah, sorry.” This place is too crowded… Just another thing to add to the list of why Rvan didn’t want to be here.
"You hiding from the crowd too he asked?" He asked the new person they hadn't noticed
“I suppose you could say that,” Rvan muttered, then added even if they wouldn’t understand, “Just don’t feel like faking it, I guess.” Rvan looked at the others, slipping his hands in his pockets casually as he mused, “Not much of a party.”
"Yeah I get that, I just came since my friend made me." He explained slipping his hands into his pockets
Natalie nodded, nerves surging again now that a new person had joined the conversation. "Same. I'm– I'm Natalie.", she introduced herself timidly, shaking her hair in front of one eye again.
"Im Nixon." He introduced with a half smile, fidgeting with something in his pocket.
“I’m Rvan,” He introduced himself quietly, shrugging his shoulders. He pulled out a cigarette, sticking it in his mouth but not lighting it yet. (Should the police come soon?)
Natalie flinched when she saw the cigarette, but didn't comment. Just breathe. His business, not yours. Breathe.
(Shouldn't we wait until everyone is in the kitchen?)
(wait yeah good point. I'll delete that sorry!)
A drunk girl approached Elizabeth and put her arm around her. Elizabeth paled at the contact. The girl, unaware, offered Elizabeth a drink, which she denied. The girl continued to talk to her, and the music was too overwheleming. Someone bumped into her. A boy vomited in the corner. The girl asked Elizabeth about her family and offered her a drink again, which Elizabeth finally accepted, hating herself for it. She downed it in one gulp.
