"So, so we could kill the Jabberwocky, release some malignant magic, and Hatta would be fine?" Aliana felt a sense of hope building even though she knew she shouldn't let it, "Is that what you're saying?"

"No." he replied. "That wouldn't be breaking the spellwork. If you just killed the Jabberwocky, Hatta would start to absorb the released magic until he turned into the next Jabberwocky."

Hatta was silent, absorbing the information.

"Then how would we break the spellwork?" Aliana asked. She, she figured she was being selfish at this point. Releasing malignant magic just so her, her boyfriend could live?

Glade frowned slightly. "Now that…that I don't know." he replied, letting out a breath. "I have a few ideas, but…"

"But what?" Aliana asked him quietly. She bit her lip harshly as she put her hand on Hatta's shoulder.

"But the spell would be difficult to unravel, especially since you would need to keep some woven into Hatta." Glade rubbed their chin.

"Right," Aliana responded her mind rushing through everything. And we would need to find someone to do it.

"I was part of the original spell, but I can't unravel it on my own." they frowned slightly, letting out a breath.

"What else, who else do you need?" Aliana asked him.

They shook their head. "I don't know if the others are even alive, Aliana. It doesn't….I don't know."

"What, what skills would you need?" Aliana asked them, "If, if we can find people with similar abilities, then maybe we can do it?"

"It's not quite that simple." they replied, letting out a breath.

"What do you mean?" Aliana asked them.

"There's a lot…I can't really adequately explain some of it." Glade shook their head.

Aliana's heart fell once more, "Of course."

"My apologies. Undoing the binding is possible, but…there are a lot of risks."

Aliana wanted to ask what risks, but figured it might be best to let Hatta, the one who would be the subject of the unbinding, speak.

Hatta raised his eyebrows a little. "What sort of risks?"

"Well, for one, you could die."

Death, okay this was getting off to a great start. Alian kept her thoughts to herself though.

"Or, alternatively, you could become the Jabberwocky by mistake. Or go…more insane than you already are."

None of those options sounded good in Aliana's opinion, but the reward. Was it worth the risk?

"There are a few other possibilities, but they're more minor." Glade added.

Aliana bit her lip staying silent.

"And?" Hatta asked.

"What? i'm trying to be truthful about all this."

"But, but there's more isn't there?" Aliana asked softly.
