(It suits him well. :P Well we'll wait for the others… XD)
Ailith walked on board. She adjusted her bag, looking around for sign of anyone else.
Bahari walked to the anchor, standing on the pulley. "Aloha, crew! Come here!" She yelled. "The anchor is needing your strength!"
William looked down curiously. He raised his eyebrows. I suppose I’ll go meet them, they look interesting enough… He climbed down the ropes, mostly jumping and falling, but he always seemed to catch himseld at the last minute. With feline grace he walked over to the anchor’s pulley, but didn’t touch it yet. His mouth curled into a smile, “I’m William, and it’s wonderful to be acquainted with you. Do tell me if you ever want to see what the cards predict of your fate.”
Ailith walked over, her hands in her pocket. "Are you some sort of fortune teller, then?"
William gave curt smile to the other, then explained in a vague way, “I bring heavenly radiance aboard this ship to protect it’s sails from bad winds and bad voodoo.”
Bahari tilted her head at the mystic-looking teen with the soft, almost knowing, smile. Her grandma would like him.
"I shall, but it is now that we depart the island. Anchor grab - no, grab anchor, I am sorry, I still learning English. We need to push anchor to move my ship." She explained, continuing to wave over other members of the crew.
Ailith nodded. She moved forward towards the anchor. "So what're your names, anyway? I know you're William, but who're you?"
"I am Bahari. I am Polynesian, grew up on the Polynesian side of Island. This is my grandpa's ship, Shadosuta - think in English that is The Shade Star. My English is bad, please excuse. But anchor needs to move!" Bahari answered, leaping down to push it herself if none of her crew would.
Simone walks on board while holding onto her bag tightly. It wasn't the first time she was away from her family, but this time was permanent. She saw three people on the ship communicating and decided to be her normal self. Just because her whole life changed didn't mean she had time to be nervous. She went up to the group and introduced herself.
"Hi, I'm Simone." She said with her signature grin.
Bahari looked to the young girl. "Your name is Simone? My name is Bahari. Does anyone on ship speak Polynesian? It would be easy." She looked around for more crew members who might've been from her side of the island.
William didn’t make a move for the anchor, instead sitting on the side of the ship, “The stars tell me to not waste my enlightening energy on moving the anchor. Instead, I will watch over the crew for evil spirits,” William said with a wave of his hand. It was all gimmicks, but he didn’t feel like moving to anchor too much, “I shall send good karma your way though.”
"I am," Simone spoke up and said. "I'm from Tahiti."
Ailith sent a glare over to William. "The spirits are telling me that you're just lazy." She muttered, going over to help pick up the anchor. "I'm Ailith, by the way."
"You are? Good! You speak Polynesian? And anchor, please!" Bahari yelled out to the ship.
(For Polynesian we'll be using Japanese since it was technically a Pacific Island language and also Polynesian isn't in google translate.)
“The spirits don’t talk to you. You do not possess the third eye as I do,” William informed haughtily.
"I have enough dignity not to." She replied. She pulled up on the anchor as well.
Bahiri smiled and pushed the anchor with Ailith. After a lot of straining they managed to raise it, and felt the ship rise and bouy on the water. The crew who had family ran to the deck to wish them goodbye.
William laughed, “The stars and spirits chose me to bear the thrid eye for them. I am the vessel that carries messages from one realmscape to the other,” William tipped his head back, “I will make sure to tell the spirits what you say though. They will be offended.”
Aleena walked on the edge of the boat
Bahari gave a look to Simone that said clearly, These people will not quit their arguing, will they?
"Shouldn't they already be offended that we're hunting them?" Ailith asked, letting go of the anchor and brushing one of her braids behind her ear.
Simone got tired of waiting around and ran up and balanced herself onto the bowspirit. She managed to get a solid balance and looked over.
“No,” William said fiercely, “We do not hunt the spirits of good fortune. We hunt the spirits that taint this would with evil.” Probably one of the only things that put William on edge was the bad spirits. They tainted the land, and William took those very seriously.
