(Aren't Dewpaw and Tawnyleaf going to talk about the prophecy?)
Eaglestar stayed by Crescentshine's side all night, watching their newest litter. Now that Tawnyleaf and Dewpaw had returned, he could finally get some rest. He pressed against her and tucked his muzzle under his black paws.
((yes))
Tawnyleaf nudged Eaglestar gently with her muzzle. "Sorry to wake you, Eaglestar, but I need you to help move Crescentshine and the kits to the nursery."
Dewpaw examined his new siblings to make sure they were healthy, seeming content. He curled up on the other side of them to keep them warm, looking up at Tawnyleaf. They would be safe here. They could move them in the morning.
"Dewpaw, come here. I need to talk with you about something." Tawnyleaf started towards the camp entrance.
Dewpaw hesitated before standing up and following Tawnyleaf. He sat down at the entrance with her, looking up at her expectantly.
"What did you see at the Moonpool?" she whispered so that any eavesdroppers would be unable to hear her. "I could tell something was bothering you. You can tell me anything, Dewpaw." her green eyes were warm and understanding, she truly wanted to understand and become close with her apprentice.
"Um…" Dewpaw cleared his throat, his voice rather quiet from unuse. "I-I saw a vision… there were bats and hornets destroying everything in their path."
"It was a message from Starclan," she meowed. "It has to have been. I saw something similar, a black cat with bloody paws, hornets flying above its head, and the whole place reeked of blood and death."
Dewpaw nodded, thinking for a moment. "A black cat?" He glanced back into the medicine den nervously.
"We must tell Eaglestar, as soon as he wakes up. I can tell he's had a long night. But as for you, Dewpaw, you need rest. Go sleep, now." Tawnyleaf meowed
Dewpaw nodded and went to lay beside the kits again, eyeing Batkit warily. Of course, he didn't know any of the kits' names yet, so he couldn't make any finite decisions. He slowly drifted into a light and unsettled sleep.
Tawnyleaf limped over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a mouse and a thrush, and took them back to the medicine den. She lay the mouse beside her apprentice and the thrush beside Crescentshine for when they woke up. She then settled in her own nest, tucking her paws beneath her, and dozed off.
