Alex twists in his sleep, letting out a small whine of horror. He hated sleeping, but he knew his body needed but sometimes the dreams were hard to control.

Zanna never dreamed, she counted it as a blessing. It meant she would never have the nightmares that plagued her while awake.
He growls, thrashing before his eyes slowly open. He hisses between his teeth and sighs, sitting up. He watches the stars, his working eye filled with a bit of sadness. It's been 10 years since the past voltron fell to Lotor and his forces, and now… the galra empire has grown even stronger. He sighs, but hears a faint beeping noise.
Gwen jumped as Alex jolted awake. She opened her mouth to let out a snarky comment, but stopped as she heard a small noise. "Do you hear that?" She asked no one in particular.
He nods, inspecting the control board. "It's… coordinates…" He points to the blinking coordinates on the screen.
"That's odd… it's not a distress call, it's not a transmission… what the quiznack is it?"
Gwen ran up to the control board, looking over Alex's shoulder. "I…have no idea." She pointed to the coordinates. "We should go there and find out. It could be a secret Galra thing that we picked up."
"It could be…" He mutters. He enters the coordinates before setting it on autopilot. He sighs softly, "WE'll be there in a few hours." He says, stretching.
"Autopilot? You're so boring. Why don't you actually use your muscles and fly the ship yourself?" Gwen shook her head as she spoke. None of the ships she flew had an autopilot feature, and she was somewhat against it.
"Mainly due to the fact that one of my arms was sliced open, I'm tired and I act drunken when I'm tired, and I don't trust others to pilot my ship." He defends.
She rolled her eyes. "Fine." Gwen sat down where she was and took off her backpack. She began rummaging through it, remembering how hungry she was.
He sighs before staring at the stars, "Do you ever think the Galra will be defeated?" he asks after a minute, "Or that voltron will ever come back?"
Gwen nodded. "I prefer to stay positive. There's no point in being sad because if anything it will only make things worse. The Galra will be defeated by Voltron."
Alex nods, "But voltron… all of them were lost in battle… or at least, that's the rumor." he sighs, "And they've been gone for 10 years.
"That doesn't mean that Voltron is gone. There's always a chance for new paladins to swoop in and save the world."
Alex nods. "There's already a green paladin. Maybe we can find the rest."
Gwen stared at him in awe. "There's already a green paladin? Why didn't I know this? When did it happen?"
"We've kept it secret since we didn't want the galra coming after us, but.. Her name is Nonie." He explains. "It happened a little while ago, I don't know exactly when." Alex leans back and relaxes.
Shoot. Green was my favorite. Gwen nodded. "Well if we already have one, I think we're obligated to find the rest."
"Yep. I've been searching most of my time in the rebellion." He sighs softly.
"I haven't even considered looking for the lions. I spend my whole life trapped in the base."
Zanna rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, "A rebel base?"
Gwen nodded, turning around to face her. "Yup. A rebel base."
"Cool," Zanna nodded, "Are we heading there now?"
Gwen turned to Alex. "For now I think. Then we might be going to find the Voltron lions."
Zanna froze slightly at the mention of the lions. Zanna shook her head before saying, "How are we going to find the lions. We'd need an Altean or paladins."
