He stiffened as she began to eat, freezing even more as his own stomach growled. The last thing he ate was some eggs at yesterdays breakfast. What if it's poisonous…?

Lixi saw how hungry Liam was. "You want some?" She offered and held out the box.

"I uh…" his stomach roared once more. "Please," he said hastily.

Xander had been following closely behind, observing silently. He was too afraid to eat anything placed in this house.
"Um… are you guys sure that's a good idea?" he asked.

Paige's heart thundered in her ears. "Hello?" she repeated to the girl, this time louder.

"Well, yeah, but who knows what else might be in that stuff? When you're like me and live in a constant state of overthinking, you think poison, then 'oh, no, that's not logical.' But then, I'm not sure… Something insane like perhaps mind control is trying to be pulled, or maybe they're experimenting with us by putting something in the food? Think me insane if you wish, but I don't trust these people enough to take food they left for us. I'd rather starve, please and thank you," Xander replied shakily.

"And if the food is poisoned and we don't eat, we'll eventually starve anyway and still die."

@WriteOutofTime

Enzo shrugged. "Yeah, you've got a valid point. Still, who knows how long we're in for? I'd rather be mind controlled than die, esé."

@Becfromthedead group

"Well, you guys have already eaten, so I'm going to wait to eat until I'm sure it's safe," Xander sighed, "Sounds pretty awful if you ask me, but I definitely don't want to play into their hands."

(Gtg…)

He munched on some fruit loops. It's been a long time since he's had those.

"I've been told it's going to kill me one day," Xander told Enzo, "Now I'm starting to see how. I'm a nervous wreck all the time as it is. I thought that was bad."

@WriteOutofTime

(okay see ya dude)

"Well, I relate," said Enzo with a wry grin. "I've got OCD. All I can think about is my bed back at home not being perfectly spread. I know it's stupid, but with all this other chaos, it's just bugging me."

@Becfromthedead group

(Bye!)
"That's not stupid at all," Xander said, "It's just the way your brain works, yeah? I guess I'm only worried about the situation we're in now, myself, but I've constantly felt like I'm going to lose my mind. I'm surprised I haven't broken down yet, considering I seem to feel things like worry so much more intensely than everyone else. I constantly just think of worst-case-scenarios, as you see I'm doing right this very moment. Odds are, I'll be too scared to eat the food in this house for another week, if we even last that long."

@WriteOutofTime

(gtg for the night. we'll do the voting thing tomorrow. byeee)
Enzo nodded. "I get it. Luckily my obsession with fixing sh*t might actually come in handy if I can get us all out of this. Before you break down, hopefully."

@Becfromthedead group

"Hopefully," Xander replied, trying to smile. "Well, hey, I may not look it, but I can be a good problem solver. So if everyone here will just put their heads together, we may find a way out."
(See you later!)

John looked over a fruit loop before he ate it. It tasted normal. It actually had him craving milk to go with it from his childhood days. He took a small hadndful and studied the TV. If it was so new and expensive looking, it obviously must be important.
