Name: Oliver Haste

Fairytale character: Pinocchio (The “Not So Family Friendly” Version)

Age: 20

Gender and sexuality: Male, Asexual

Race (human, fae, etc.): Human (connected with wooden puppet)

”Villain" or "Hero" (or neither): Arguable, so neither… I think

Appearance: Oliver stands at 5’11” (178 cm) with a slim body and an inverted triangle face shape. He has a pale, almost unhealthily white skin tone. He has a pair of brown eyes to go with his wavy and long coal black hair which covers parts of his eyes. As he is quite thin, he doesn’t come out as extremely threatening even if both his personality and powers say otherwise. He has a tattoo on the back of his neck, one of a wooden flower.

Personality: Oliver is quite hot-headed and aggressive to the bone. He’s not an asshole by birth, he just acts violently towards a lot of people as a way to protect himself from potential dangers. By him acting violently, though, did he find peace in his soul. He found that by pushing toxic people out of his life, whether it be in a peaceful way or not, it made him feel better.

Powers?: Oliver has the ability to summon strings from the tips of his fingers, controlling them like they’re parts of his body. These strings are extremely flexible and are extremely hard to cut as they’re not your typical string and is even harder than human bones. These strings have two main purposes; attacking people or controlling them like a puppet. The former would be self explanatory but the latter would need some explanation as to how it works.
Oliver is able to wrap these strings around people’s bodies. However, if he can wrap these strings around five parts (the neck, the two wrists, and the two ankles) of the target’s body, he can control them like a puppet for approximately a minute and a half before the strings would loosen and return to him. But he’s not insanely strong when it comes to controlling his own powers.

Backstory: Oliver wasn’t a fan of socializing when he was a child for every interaction he had with someone else often resulted in them leaving him one way or another. He believed himself to be a cursed child. Ever since he was a child, everyone seemed to say that as well whether it be with those exact words or paraphrased versions. They meant the same to him; he wasn’t welcome and will never be. His parents left him when he was two and never returned. The only person he had by his side was an old man who was a clockmaker named Geppetto. That man was kind and accepted Oliver the way he was.
However — there was no way he was going to forget that day — when he was fourteen, he was buying some groceries to bring back to the clockmaker. When he came back, he wondered what was with the people gathered in his house. They were guests, he thought.
Opening the door, he was shocked to find Geppetto stabbed through the heart, dead with no remaining pulse. The group of three bandits looked at Oliver with eyes of both confusion and surprise. Whatever, one of them got out a knife to initially attack the child…

Within the blink of an eye, strings tied the three bandits’ necks to the ceiling, ultimately hanging them and killing them effortlessly. The fourteen-year-old couldn’t do much but pay his respects to the old man. Again, someone left him. But now for reasons he understood but couldn’t accept. He left the house and went his way which led up to present times.

Name: Peter James Pan
Fairytale character: Peter Pan (original JM Barrie version) (sort of)
Age: 19
Gender and sexuality: Male, bi
Race (human, fae, etc.): Unknown. Appears to be human, but carries traits of both Fae and fairies
"Villain" or "Hero" (or neither): Unknown
Appearance: Peter. Peter is tall, with curly, wild brown hair. His eyes are a brilliant orange gold color, that glint when they catch the light. He is Caucasian, with a bit of a tan. On his right arm is a sleeve tattoo that was given to him by the natives of Neverland. He has piercings lining both ears. His body has a number of scars on it from various fights and conflicts.
Personality: Peter can be a bit capricious, and changeable. Even once he's set his mind on something, he'll still change his mind if something better appears. He can be vicious, and rude, and easily angered, but can also be the sweetest person ever, smiling and gentle and so kind. Typically, this changes depending on who he's dealing with. With the Lost Boys, he can be both tyrant and playmate and best friend all rolled into one. With his father, he's a hellion spawned from the deepest, darkest pits of hell. With the native tribe, he changes depending on who he's dealing with. He's very intelligent, even if he hasn't really had much schooling. He can neither read nor write, despite attempts to teach himself to.
Powers?: Flight. Speaking to Faeries and understanding them.
Backstory: His father is James Hook, the pirate, and they are often found fighting. Peter ran away when he was young, amassing a group that is known as the "Lost Boys". He can often be found running wild in Neverland with this group of loyal comrades, or taunting his father. James Hook was abusive to Peter when the young man was a boy, which was what prompted him to run away in the first place. Peter decided he never wanted to be associated with Captain Hook again, changing his last name to "Pan", rather than the "Hook" he was born with. While he himself was never taught to read, some of the Lost Boys can, and he relies on them to help him in situations where reading is needed. His father often sends him letters, which he doesn't let the others see, putting them away. The letters are a taunt, since Captain Hook knows his son cannot even read them, much less write a response. On the days when a new letter arrives, Peter can be even more vicious than normal, lashing out at anyone near him. His most loyal companion is Tinkerbell, a fairy.

(Is he alright?)

So I think everyone’s characters are ready! I’ll wait to start until later tonight/possibly early tomorrow just in case we have a last minute person join or any of y’all want to make another character. Sound good? :)

@MusicElle-is-here

(Okay, I'm to post a starter because I'm bored and now seems as good a time as any, I suppose lol. If any of y'all want to make a second character during the rp it's totally fine, and if someone wants to join before we get too far that's probably okay too. Lol anyway the starter will be up soon!)

Elissa took a deep breath as she entered the crowded marketplace, trying to look casual. Despite her status of basically being basically public enemy number one (okay, probably more like number six, but that was still bad), most people would not recognize her on sight. Her general description might be known to those more in touch, or even a (let's face it, completely inaccurate) portrait of her.
Her dark hair was half up in a messy French braid, with the other half falling around loosely down her back. She wore none of her signature red besides her lips, because she wasn't stupid enough to go flouncing around in something that obvious. Despite her nervousness, Elissa did her best to blend in with everyone else, trying to remember what her grandmother had taught her. She smiled brightly when she made eye contact with a random woman nearby, only realizing how suspicious that was when the woman narrowed her eyes and whispered to her neighbor. Elissa's heart pounded, but she forced herself to take a deep breath. She would not transform here.
She walked in the opposite direction of the woman, as if that was where she had intended to go all along, pretending she knew the place well. She wasn't even certain what kingdom she was currently in, if she was being completely honest. At any moment, someone could recognize her, but putting up her boring brown cloak might be even more suspicious than not. She could feel a panic attack coming on, so Elissa ducked into what seemed to be an abandoned alley and leaned against the wall, breathing in and out slowly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(How should I introduce Peter? Because normally I'd picture him as being located in Neverland, but like…none of the other characters would be there, so…)

@MusicElle-is-here

(or if you don’t like those ideas, maybe something happened/is happening to Neverland and in order to stop it Peter has to find someone or some magical item that can fix things?)

Oliver was doing some shopping. Truth be told, he was dressed quite out of the norm. Wearing a torn cloak that was bigger than his size, a pair of cruelly ripped and ragged pants, a stained cloth to cover his face. He had the hooded part of his cloak over his head, covering parts of his head.
He eyed practically everyone who turned to him, giving them the ‘I’ll kill you’ look. Fair enough.
He decided that if this went on people would’ve questioned him so he stopped. Getting what he needed, he left as soon as possible.
He heard a scream from a female, uttering the words “Thief! Thief!”.
He gave a confused look before he turned to see a man dressed “interestingly” leave the place with a lot of items that did not look like they belonged to him.
Out of instinct, Oliver raised one of his hands and aimed at the man, wrapping his ankles with the strings and making him fall and allowing the officials to deal with him.

@MusicElle-is-here

(i probably should have mentioned this earlier but the world that the story takes place in is more similar to the middle ages in like dress and technology for the most part, so there wouldn’t be jeans or hoodies. sorry!)

@PrettyLittlePyro

Elara leaned against the wall of a nearby alley, watching the going-ons with narrowed, amused eyes. The new person, with the weird string power, now he was interesting. Her lips curled into the familiar cold smirk, that everyone knew meant trouble.

She had ruled this town and run the crime groups for almost two years now, ever since she had murdered her old gang. The Murderess, as she was called, wasn't cruel, exactly, but her moods were very unpredictable, and it was better to stear clear of her, or at least do what she wanted, without a squabble. She was dangerous, there was no doubt about that. To anyone.

She stepped from the shadows of the building, crossing her arms and regarding the puppet man with some interest. The thief had been a sloppy one, that was true, but he… he was interesting.

(Gimme a moment to change XD)

@MusicElle-is-here

(hahah thanks! :D)

Elissa had finally calmed herself down somewhat when she heard the commotion. She straightened her clothing and brushed off a bit of dirt on her shoulder before walking out of the alley slowly to see what the matter was. The man who had stolen something was being apprehended by a boy with some sort of string power. Elissa’s eyes widened. Such a blatant display of power in public? Things must truly be different here than, well, in the middle of the forest. Perhaps she just wasn’t used to city life.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(ahh sorry!! I had to go to bed lmao)

Peter had come to the mainland to pick up some supplies for the Lost Boys. He was dressed simply, trying not to attract any attention, and walked instead of flew. Tinkerbell was perched on his shoulder, hidden under the cloak. He had promised her that they would pick up some fabric samples that she could make herself clothing out of, since she was growing tired of the same old dress. She said something in that bell-like voice that all the fairies had, and he murmured back, "Shh. Fairies aren't as common here, Tink, they'd probably try to kidnap you. I promise that I won't forget about the fabric, but I also promised Slightly that I'd grab him some newspapers." to his shame and embarrassment, Peter remained unable to read, but Slightly, his second-in-command and good friend, could read. Or at least, could read enough. His attention was caught by a man using strange powers, and he cocked his head, coming a bit closer. If one looked closely enough at Peter, they might notice that his way of walking was a bit strange, his feet remaining off the ground for just a moment too long.
