"I'll… I'll be fine.. that attack was fairly mild compared to others.." Robin glanced at the dragon again. It seemed bored, but still had its tail around Robin's neck in case it needed to give him more anxiety.
Xander motioned towards Becca. "I usually draw people I see, so I drew that girl and her dog."
"Oh, good," she breathed, relieved. She hated calling people. Taking a breath, she managed a natural smile. "I'm Dara. By the way. A biochemistry major at the unversit…never mind, i'm rambling."
"Er, m-my name's Robin. Robin Jones. S-sorry, I guess I'm sort of terrible at first impressions…" He laughed weakly, looking away.
Dara snorted, "Oh trust me, I'm worse. It's always been like that you know. Daso –that's my twin, by the way– is the charming one and I'm the smart one." She laughed at that, fiddling with the bracelet around her wrist.
"I have an older brother, and he had a friend with a… er… condition, like mine. M-my brother always says that he's normal, and proud to be so."
"That's kind of shitty to say." Dara grimaced. "Just because you're anxious doesn't make you abnormal."
"Oh, that's fun I could never draw people, so I normally just drew what I felt," Ace says looking towards the girl," Oh hey, I think I know her, we used to see each other all the time after therapy, let's go say hi." Ace says standing up from their resting spot, Infra taps their wrist, which sends a string of cold up Ace's arm, Ace shakes off Infra's hand as they whisper in Ace's ear Your'e being annoying, Ace turns and smiles at Xander.
Robin was a bit surprised. "Yeah, I.. I guess so.. anxiety's not really the only thing thou-" He was cut off by the dragon tightening its tail around his throat again. It didn't like being talked about.
"My brother never really struggled where I did," Dara admitted with a sigh, not noticing his awkward cut off. "He's always so confident."

Xander heard the dove on his shoulder cooing again. He tried to brush it off, but ended up having to completely ignore it. He followed Ace, a little excited, but very nervous to meet the subject of his drawing.
Robin nodded, glad that Dara hadn't noticed him leaving his sentence hanging, or if she did, she didn't mention it. "My brother's definitely more confident than I am… b-but he also hasn't experienced what I have.."

AH dude I'm sorry I keep forgetting. what's ironic is that I like never swear out loud. my characters do stuff without my permission! puts a dollar in the swear jar
Becca could feel some shadows fall over her. Beni got slightly larger. Then she looked up and, seeing that it was only Ace, Beni shrunk back to her regular size. "Oh hey Ace."
Dara opened her mouth. She started to tell him of her own experiences that had led to her own anxiety, but the snake-eel wrapped around her mouth. She switched subjects quickly. "So, how old are you? Are you in college too?"
"No, I'm only 13. I just.. hang around here sometimes, I guess. I find it relaxing." The dragon loosened his hold a bit. Robin had never attributed a name to the horrible thing, preferring it to just be 'the demon'. He wished it would just stop tormenting him all the time.
"Thirteen! You're mature for your age," Dara complimented, laughing a bit. "I usually hate kids. Sorry for swearing around you just then. I figured since you were so close to the university, you were just a baby-faced college freshman."
Robin flushed a bit. "Er, thanks? I don't really know many of the people who actually go here, I'm mostly here for the animals. I find that they're very understanding sometimes." The dragon snickered, knowing that Robin had just revealed the fact that he could talk to animals.
"Yo Becca wats lit, how's life been I haven't seen you in forever, I love what you've done with your hair," Ace turns to Xander," This is my new friend, Xander, he was drawing and it was lit, so hello."
Dara smiled, agreeing, "Yeah, I'm more of an animal person too. Cats especially. And squirrels."
"I like the wildlife. Deer, rabbits, birds… I've even befriended wolves before." Robin didn't seem to realize what he was saying, and the dragon was just waiting to clamp down on his throat again.
Becca gave them a small smile. Beni grew a little. Fast talking. She had always been stressed by it. "Can you…..talk a little slower please?" She asked quietly.
Xander waved shyly at Becca. He secretly hoped she didn't ask to look at his drawing and closed his sketchbook before tucking it under his arm.
