"Sweet heart violence is absolutly never the answer. Dont do it again. how long are you suspended?" she asked.
"Three days, and I'm the one who got in trouble," Cal mumbled unhappily, rubbing at his bruised eye again. "Just talk to Abby about it," He added softly, glancing over at Kendra before he began to walk over towards the dining table.
"Okay…" she trailed off then made her way back to her seat at the table where her empty mug and phone sat.
(Okay so I can't figure out how to give you the story without taking a billion years.
So here's this.)
"Aaron left." Veda whispered. "My parents left, my friends, my family, everyone I loved. They left me. I thought Aaron would stay." Veda's voice broke.
"Oh, Veda, I'm sorry. Is there anything that I can do to help you? Anything?" Abby tried to stay calm… ish.
"Just stay." Veda whispered.
"I will," Abby wrapped her arms around the girl. "I will."
Veda sighed and closed her eyes.
Abby sighed and whispered. "C-Can I tell you something?"
Veda nodded. "Anything Abs. After all, you let me tell you all this messed up stuff, only fair that I listen to you too." She said, slightly joking.
Jazza moved from his place in his room, only to plop himself back down on the couch, his phone in hand as he continued to read.
"…You missed so much, Jazza. Have you been awake this whole time or did you just wake up?"
"I like, just woke up, I was talkin to my friend Amore all last night," He said, bareley able to keep his eyes open, "He was on his way back to Italy, and he's terrified of plane rides, so I had to stay up with him."
He sighed, shrugging a bit.
"So, what exactly did I miss?"
"Everything" Kendra called from the kitchen. "This is exactly why i tell you not to sleep the days away. all though, i do the same… so maybe i shouldnt say anything. whoops too bad"
Vivian sighed. "Honestly? I have no idea. Two people came in knowing Veda I guess, one of them got in an argument with Veda, they left. Oh, and our new roommate came. Trust me, it's be a lot more confusing if you saw it all."
"Yea, oh and Cal got in a fight at school. suspended for 3 days." Kendra chimed in, now standing in the doorway between the kitchen and living room, leaning on the wall.
"Wait what? I didn't hear about that. So much stuffs happening and I can't even keep up. Oh potatoes and bean dip… I think I feel a headache coming on."
"Another roomate? They hot? They a she?" He asked, quickly turning to Kendra, "Cal got in a fight?! Is he back yet? I gotta tell him how proud I am!"
Jazza smirked, scratching the back of his head with one of his tattooed hands.
"I already took pain meds, had a headache myself. bottom shelf of the medicine cabinet" she said
"Hes in the kitchen. Dont boost his ego. its not something to be proud of unless he doesnt get caught, which he did might i add" she laughed at the silly banter.
Vivian sighed. "Jazzy, they look to be Cal's age." She got up from the couch to get the pain meds. "Thanks Kendra."
He jumped up, running into the kitchen.
"Cal! My man! I heard you where in a fight!" He yelled as he made his way inside, "Did you win? I'm so proud!"
Vivian looked so done with everything as she took pain meds.
"No problem." She said and turned to Jazza and Cal. "Jazza do you not listen to a word i say? Jesus Christ" she walked to her seat hitting Jazza upside the head when she passed him.
He jumped up, running into the kitchen.
"Cal! My man! I heard you where in a fight!" He yelled as he made his way inside, "Did you win? I'm so proud!"
"I guess I won," Cal answered, shrugging loosely as he motioned towards his black eye, a small smile quirking the corners of his lips up as he noticed how excited Jazza seemed to be. "He ran off halfway to see the principal. The kid couldn't handle it," He joked, glancing over at Kendra to see her usual disapproving look.
