Abby nodded. She could assume what that meant. "Let's go," she said, quickly leading Veda back to the room and shutting the door. She resumed rubbing Veda's back to try and keep her calm. "So, how did you escape the island?" Abby asked softly.
Veda sighed, picking up a little rock that she always kept on her nightstand. "There were so many of us at first. Hundreds, nearing thousands. But in the end only seven of us. And we lost one on the way out." She said, her voice breaking. "Kierra. She was twelve, the same age I had been when I had first been put on the island. She was like a sister to me." Veda took a deep breath before she continued. "We found some parts from an airplane in an abandoned cave. So, we built a boat. And Carter–" Her voice hitched. "Carter made some mistakes. I want to forgive him….but it's hard, you know? Knowing that Kierra would still be alive if he had not done what he did."
"What happened?" Abby asked gently.
"Again, it's….a long story." Veda's phone buzzed again, signalling a text. Veda picked it up and read it silently, then put it down and turned back to Abby.
(There is a reason for all this suspense, trust meh.)
"Was that Carter?" Abby bit her tongue for asking.
"Nah, it was someone else." Veda assured her.
Cal pulled his phone out, a bit worried since he didn't see Abby or Veda around. He bit his bottom lip in concentration as he tried to block the noise of the television out so he could type a message. Are you alright? He sent the message to Veda, leaning back against the couch as he waited for an answer.
Veda picked up her phone and saw the message from Cal.
I'll be fine, no reason to worry.
(Btw when Veda says, no reason to worry, she's basically flashing a neon sign that says, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY WORRY)
Veda. What's wrong? Cal typed, sending it quickly as he sat cross-legged on the couch, blowing strands of dark hair out of his face. Whenever Veda had ever said that she was alright, she was almost never okay. He cursed himself for being a little too overprotective of his friends, but he wanted to make sure that she was actually alright.
Everything's fine….I'm just not feeling the greatest. Abby's helping me with some things that happened in my past that aren't….exactly the most pleasant things to talk about. I'm fine. I promise.
Abby patiently let Veda text.

Okay. If you need to talk about anything I'm here too, but I'm sure Abby's got it covered. She's good at helping. Cal answered, sending the text as he leaned back into the couch, releasing a faint sigh.
Vivian drifted asleep, letting out a faint snore.
(Lol Vivian)
Veda gave a silent nod. Thanks. Then she put her phone down and turned back to Abby.
(I wish I could fall asleep as easy as she does…)
(Same though.)
(I'm thinking of making Cal get into a fight at school, but for a reason. Don't worry, he's not a violent kid xD)
(U do that)
(Then maybe Veda won't be the only one who has something heavy on her)
(Yeah, we'll just have to wait for a time skip. Take your time with the scene though.)
Kendra watched the movie and finised her coffee. She couldnt help but notice Cal looking worried. "Cal hunny are you alright?"
(Guys Imma keep what Carter did a secret for a while longer…….you'll find out soon tho.)
Veda sighed. "I'm hungry." She stated.
