Veda sighed, giving in. "Well I suppose I should start with this." She took off her hoodie, leaving just her tank top. The scars running down her arms and shoulders seemed to stand out. "Eight years ago I was kidnapped off the streets as I was walking home from school. I was only twelve. I got taken to an island, with nothing but the clothes on my back and the word 'survive'. I didn't know what to do. Thankfully, there were others on the island. Unfortunately, I found out that over fifty percent of human trafficking of people under twenty all went to that island. We were hunted as sport." Veda began.
Abby gazed as Veda's scars. She kept rubbing her back. "Oh, Veda…"
Veda shrugged. "I was one of the lucky ones. Some kids didn't even last a day. When I got there, I organized everyone, gave everyone jobs and almost nobody died for about three years. Then they decided to bring in the bloodwolves. Genetically enhanced wolves that, once they catch your scent, won't stop hunting you until you or it are dead. That's why we called them bloodwolves. It was a scramble after that. Eventually we got organized again and evading the bloodwolves just became a part of life. An–" She was interrupted by the doorbell ringing loudly.

Abby patted Veda's back twice. "I'll be right back okay? I promise." She got up and opened the door to the apartment. "Hello?"
Standing at the door was a young man in his early twenties. He looked to be an African guy who was in the army. He looked down at Abby. "….Is Veda here? I must speak to her." His Ethiopian accent was definite.
(…that was a weird description…I'm not that good at them….)
"Hold on, let me check. She tends to come in sometimes without me hearing," Abby replied. She shut the door and went back into the bedroom. "Veda? Someone is looking for you."
(AUGH NO! DON'T YOU LEAVE ME IN SUSPENSE, NATASHA!)
(Lol)
Veda looked up at Abby and sighed. She pulled herself up off her bed, not bothering to put her hoodie back on. She walked out to the door and opened it. "What do you want Carter." She asked in an alarmingly cold voice for her.
"Veda, I just want a chance to explain–"
"Explain what Carter?"
"I–Veda I'm sorry."
"Sorry doesn't cut it this time. Not after what you did. When you figure out a way to earn back my trust, then come back. Until then, stay away from me, and stay away from my family." She said, referring the others in the apartment. She shut the door in Carter's face and walked into the kitchen, letting out a shuddering breath.
(Y'all are going to love yet hate Cater…….this is going to be fun.)
Abby stared. "So… that's…"
(Cal's probably going to be overprotective of Veda if Carter comes back. Because he's a lil protective 15 year old.)
(And now……….I dissapoof again. Brb)
(NATASHA YOU'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY!)
(Kendra might seem like a cold, uncaring, sarcastic person but just you wait, it gets worse)
(Hm, what if Cal comes and teases her xD)
(i guess you'll have to see XD)
(I'm kinda here, I gotta finish something up.)
(Okay, you're killing me with suspense chicka!)
(Yas Cal you be overprotective of Veda.)
Veda sighed. "Carter is one of the survivors from the island. He and I were….close."
(Okay, you're killing me with suspense chicka!)
(What can I say? I love keeping people in suspense. And I'm also trying to finish up some math stuff…..not fun.)
