"I will do whatever I can to resist. For now, go." she turned away so they couldn't see the tears streaming down her face. "Go!" Marya sobbed, her hair falling into her mouth.
The king tsked. "Kirin, pretty please?"

Looking broken, Nimue did her best to pick up Cal and flew away.
“I said no.” Don’t do it Abendrot, don’t fall for his lies again. The shackles on his wrists could nullify his power anyways.

"Stop, stop, please." Cal repeated, his voice scarcely above a whisper. He felt so helpless. He couldn't let Marya go. Cal would be broken. "Marya, please. . . don't."
The king frowned. "Kirin, do you need another session in the chamber? Mr. Torturer will be glad to see you. Your screams were his favorite." he leered down at Kirin, even though he was shorter than him.

"I'll find a way back. I promise. I always keep my promises. I bet by sunrise, this castle will be on fire." Marya cracked a grin. "Besides, why would I ever leave my raspberry assnut? I love my raspberry assnut. He's a great guy."

"Stop! Let go of me!" Cal yelled, pulling at Nimue's arms, but it was more like a weak shove. After a few moments, he gave up, finally feeling his heart splinter into pieces. This is what dad meant. Love is so pointless.
He flinched and hesitated, not saying anything. That man was cruel, even worse than the orphanage. Wisps of Magic started to swirl.
A few miles away, Nimue finally had to put him down. She collapsed against a tree, breathing heavily. She was five feet tall and not exactly used to carrying that much weight, not to mentioned drained from the earlier fight.
"Let me go back to her. . . please, Nimue." Cal pleaded, leaning against a tree as blood continued to soak through his shirt. He knew she would say no. They couldn't go back now.
The king grabbed Marya and threw her into Kirin, letting them fall to the ground. "Get up, right now." he giggled, walking away and letting the guards take care of them.
Marya snarled at Kirin, launching herself up and thinking of a plan in her head.
“You’ll get yourself killed and you’re no use to anyone dead,” she said, tired of fighting. She was practically passed out.
His wrists freed, Kirin still hesitated. He had never killed anyone - directly or indirectly.
“You’ll get yourself killed and you’re no use to anyone dead,” she said, tired of fighting. She was practically passed out.
Cal leaned against the tree, pulling his shirt up as he looked at the bleeding wound. The stitches had broken again, dark blood seeping everywhere. He closed his eyes and leaned his head back. He couldn't even function without Marya.
"Hey, Nimue's boyfriend. You're not a total shitwad, are you?" Marya took a deep breath, trying to get her mind to decide whether or not to trust him. It all depended on his answer.
“I’m not her boyfriend,” he muttered. “Sure. I guess.” The guard behind him hit his head and his hand flew up.
"Denial. How sweet." damn it. He wasn't giving definitive answers. Marya had never been good at reading people. Where was Cal when she needed him? Then again, she'd always needed him.
He didn’t say anything and slowly moved his hands, the blue matching his hair. He reached for Marya’s mind but paused, not able to continue, after the quick flood of memories hit him (like always).
Marya shook her head, embarrassed. She didn't need anyone. She was a loner, like she always would be.
Liar.
He paused, looked at the guards, sat back on his heels. “No.”
Holy shit, no, get out of my head, Kirin, I don't want you in here. This is a space reserved for coming up with creative insults, you crappy stuffed pigeon. She shot a glare at him.

Trust me, me being in your head is much better than the alternative. His… voice, sounded dry, like a sarcastic joke. The alternative being me attempting to come up with an escape plan out loud, in front of the many guards.
“London!” Marcus shouted, looking through the fray. He fought his way past a few guards, looking for the purple-haired boy.
I know you're right, but I really don't like you. Marya shuffled across the ground, pushed by the guards.
