Cal tilted his head to the side, studying the girl. "I suppose you are, Lily." He finally said after a long pause, still smirking.
Cal tilted his head to the side, studying the girl. "I suppose you are, Lily." He finally said after a long pause, still smirking.
Lily fanned herself, blush coming readily. "I'm so sorry that you're in this cell. Where are your arrows anyway? You could show me how they work." she was like a doll, really. Yellow-blonde hair, big, bright, blue eyes. Perfect porcelain skin with the hint of a blush. Even her lips were the epitome of perfect, delicate and soft, a natural flushed color. She was more beautiful than Marya. But she was not better.
A small grin tilted the corners of Cal's lips up. He could use her. "I believe that my father had a few in the castle. If you don't mind getting me out of this cell," Cal began, motioning to the bars. "I would be happy to show them to you."
"Really? Oh, wait. My daddy told me not to open the cell for you. But," she grinned, "all things have a price. Even my help." a corner of her lips lifted, resulting in the most perfect half-smile. "I have a price. Are you willing to pay?"
"Depends. What do you want, Princess?" Cal asked, blowing strands of dark hair out of his face.
"Take me with you." Lily gave Cal the most perfect pleading grin. "We can be together without the my daddy stopping us from seeing each other!"
Cal almost said yes to her immediately, with those blue eyes and perfect honey, blonde curls. Snap out of it. She wasn't Marya. No one would ever be like Marya. But, he needed her to get out. "I'm willing to pay that price." Cal nodded, flashing a grin.
(I was envisioning her as a 13 year old :P)
"Okay!!" she pulled the keys from her pocket and slowly unlocked the door. "C'mon!" Lily took his hand, smiling. "I'll be yours forever." her perfection seemed so fake. How could anyone measure up to her beauty?
(And cal's like 18 over here xD )
Cal forced a smile through the pain in his chest. Being thrown into the cell hadn't helped his wound. "It's towards the East Wing's main tower."
"Uh-huh." Lily ran to the East Wing's main tower, ready to get his arrows.
(I'm planning for Lily to betray him)
(haha)
(:O)
( oof, what is she going to do? Oh. . . is she going to shoot him instead?)
Cal followed behind Lily, waiting to get his hands on the arrows. One easy shot and he could use the princess to help him get back to the base.
She made it into the tower. "I got him like you asked daddy. Do I get a reward?" the king stepped out of the shadows, holding Cal's bow.
"Well done, my child. As for you, Cal, how are you doing?"
Cal didn't answer and glanced over at Lily. What did he expect from a royal? To let him go? No, it would never be that easy. Cal looked back at the King, not hiding his glare. "Fine. How are you, your majesty?" He replied, his words dripping with sarcasm.
"I'm doing quite well, actually." the king grinned. "As for you. . . I have a surprise for you. Come." he beckoned for Cal to come closer. "Sometime tomorrow or today, your friends will try to save you. I've decided that you're not going to mind just being killed. It won't be punishment enough. No, I will pick out the one you love most and have you watch them die. Then I will keep you as my prisoner for eternity. Kirin did well when it came to hurting you all. I do better." the king folded hjis hands. "I already have an idea about which one you love most. The brown-eyed girl? That always has blood all over her clothes and carries the axe? I heard that you love her."
Cal couldn't even talk.
"Don't touch her. Do anything to me, please. Not her." Cal finally said, his heart racing. Marya was going to get hurt because of him. "Please."
"I thought I already told you. Hurting you isn't punishment enough. If you ask again, I'll make you kill her with your bare hands. And maybe another one too." the king grinned, his blue eyes sparkling.
Cal opened his mouth to say something, but immediately closed it. Please, please don't hurt her. If Marya died, he would be broken.
"Oh, and that's only if she comes to rescue you in the first place. I won't go get her. I'm too lazy." he laughed. "And we both know she's coming. It's too bad…if she wasn't coming, I wouldn't have to torture her.."

Cal lowered his gaze and shook his head. Love. . . so painful. His father's word's echoed in his head. Even being the god of love, he never really believed in it. Now, because of him, Marya might die. I'm so sorry. . .

Marya listened to the others talk. She'd met Cal's father, just once when she was very young. But she'd always remember it. His worn eyes that trembled with sadness. Love. . . so painful. She'd never understood it before. But now that Cal was going to die because she wasn't able to do anything but walk away, she understood. I'm so sorry. . .
( Should we timeskip?)
Ailith sighed. This must be so hard for everyone. Maybe she would go and get Cal on her own.
