“I’ll be fine,” she said, gritting her teeth. “Whoever did it might still be around, you should probably go look for them.” They’re right here.
They don’t know that.
Shut up.

(Should Ailith and Rhys run into the others?)
(Probably)
(sounds good)
"Marya, look around for anyone. I need to take the arrow out, but then I'll carry her back to camp." Cal answered, still working on sliding the arrow out.
"Right." Marya hoped that none of them had noticed her tail. People worrying over her always had felt weird. She scoped the area, brandishing her knife and tensing her other fist, ready to punch.
“I can walk,” she protested. “My wings took most of the damage.”
You asshole. If I can’t fly again, I’m going to murder you.
You can’t do anything.
"Nimue, rest easy." Marya shouted behind her, before turning back. She had to protect her friends. The various bleeding holes and the blood pouring out of her mouth were no problem.
Ailith continued running when she spotted a group of people she skidded to a halt.
“I can walk,” she protested. “My wings took most of the damage.”
You asshole. If I can’t fly again, I’m going to murder you.

"Don't move, okay?" Cal replied seriously, furrowing his brow as he focused on sliding the arrow out. After about five more minutes, it was out and Cal was pressing one of his change of shirts on the wound.
“Is she okay?” She asked. “I saw blood. Possibly. Everything’s blurry.”
"I hope so. . ." Cal answered, looking over at Marya as she walked around the forest. Thank goodness she hadn't died. . . He looked back over at Nimue and continued to add pressure to the wound. "What happened?"
There was no one. Her ears couldn't pick up anything. Her eyes couldn't see any movement. "There's no one here." Marya announced, returning to Nimue's side before noticing the two new people. The people she'd escaped with. "Hello?"
“I don’t know. I was flying along and I didn’t notice the arrow. Next thing I know, it’s sliced through my wing and I’m crashing through seven different trees at once.”You’re not going to let me get a word in edgewise, are you?
It would destroy the whole purpose of mind control.
Please?
No.
"Uh, hi," Rhys waved, "What's going on?"
"Hi," Ailith responded, "Fancy running into you."
“I don’t know. I was flying along and I didn’t notice the arrow. Next thing I know, it’s sliced through my wing and I’m crashing through seven different trees at once.”You’re not going to let me get a word in edgewise, are you?

No.
Cal nodded, glancing around the forest. He looked over at the two new comers, raising a brow at them.
"Not really," Marya grunted, standing protectively near Nimue. "It's okay, Nimue, I know Cal's weak, so I'll protect you."
Now that the adrenaline of the original control was fading, Nimue could feel herself close to passing out. Weakly, she muttered curses at the voice in her head.
Oh you can do everything unhelpful but you can’t keep me awake? Asshole.
He didn’t say anything but she was startled anyways (somehow), eyes flying open and she attempted to sit up straight. “Ow. Ow. Do not do that.”
I hate you so much.
She laughed. “Thanks, Marya.”
Ailith put her hands on her hips. She gestured to Rhys, "He's not armed."
"Yeah, unless you count tarrot cards," he pulled his deck, seemingly from thin air, "I'm unarmed."
"Not really," Marya grunted, standing protectively near Nimue. "It's okay, Nimue, I know Cal's weak, so I'll protect you."
Cal rolled his eyes, used to Marya always insulting him. "Fine. I'll watch Marya since she always gets herself into trouble somehow."
Marya studied the two. "Coming with us?" she asked, eyebrow raised.
Ailith pulled out her bow, "And I have a bow with NO arrows. So we aren't really a threat miss and I don't see why we shouldn't."
